2026 Mock Draft Thread

Christmas 7 round draft from Ian Cummings:

He has the Pats taking:

30. Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee
62. Genesis Smith, S. Arizona
94. Eli Raridon, TE, Notre Dame
129. Domonique Orange, DT, Iowa St.
130. Clev Lubin, ESGE, Louisville
170. Jaedan Roberts, OG, Alabama
188. CJ Daniels, WR, Miami
194. Eli Heidenrich, RB/WR, Navy
204. Caden Curry, EDGE, Ohio St.
208. Joe ***nano, QB, UConn

Cummings still has SF picking at 244, which has reverted to NE.

No Yhonzae Pierre, Jelani McDonald, Kade Pieper or Jamari Johnson in this mock.

Vega Ioane goes 22, TJ Parker 25, Kenyon Sadiq 27, Kenyatta Jackson 29, Emmanuel Pregnon 36, Lee Hunter 40, Malachi Lawrence 45, Austin Siereveld 48, Monroe Freeling 60.

Not bad. Some solid players. I don't dislike the individual picks, but I would personally not go DB with the first 2 picks, or wait until pick 130 for an EDGE and 170 for an OL.

My redraft:

30. Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas (38 in Cummings' mock). Or Monroe Freeling (60), but will go Goosby here. Super athletic, capable of playing either tackle position at a high level. Campbell and Goosby would be ridiculous bookend tackles, and with Jared Wilson would give the Pats a highly athletic OL. Home run pick at 30.

62. Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami (85). Torn between Mesidor and Jake Golday (65), but EDGE higher priority. Pissed that Malachi Lawrence and Kenyatta Jackson gone, they are younger and have better length and more upside than Mesidor. But all roads lead to Akheem Mesidor, who will be a beast.

94. Devin Moore, CB, Florida (97). Eli Raridon a solid pick, but I would go DB. Torn between Moore and Keionte Scott (101). Moore has great length, and Gonzalez/Davis/Moore will give the Pats great depth at outside CB.
Hoping to get Keydon Stukes later on. Jake Golday (65),

129. Justin Joly, TE, NC State (137). Giving up Raridon hurts, but Joly could be equally good, though very different in style.

130. Treydan Stukes, DB, Arizona (132). Torn between Stukes and Zakee Wheatley (169). Going with Stukes here because I passed on Keionte Scott, and Stukes can play nickle, S, and outside CB. Can't believe that I could have had Scott and Wheatley and passed. And d%#*!@t, Clev Lubin with Mesidor would be great. Tough choices.

170. Cayden Green, IOL, Missouri (172). Will plug in at RG, could eventually move to LG.

188. CJ Daniels, WR, Miami (188). Love this pick.

194. Arion Carter, LB, Tennessee (202). Missed out on Jake Golday, but Carter is very athletic. Jaishawn Barham (198) also very tempting.

204. Caden Curry, EDGE, Ohio St. (204). I'll stick with this. Love Curry's motor.

208. Deion Burks, WR, Oklahoma (228). I like Joe ***nano, but QB is s luxury, and Burks is too good to pass up here. He has elite speed and short area quickness, will immediately upgrade EC3 in the slot, and will likely replace Pop Douglas in 2027. His upside is a poor man's Zay Flowers. Makes up some for missing out on Zachariah Branch (117).

244. Chip Trayanum, RB, Toledo (246).

Not my ideal draft, but happy overall. I don't know that my picks are better than Cummings', but they are more in line with my priorities, and how I would shape the defense.

Not my ideal draft, but happy overall. I don't know that my picks are better than Cummings', but they are more in line with my priorities, and how I would shape the defense.
His draft - B
Your draft - Close to A+. My only differences would be a center or another OG and while I like Joly, we really need a TE2 who can play inline.

I like a lot of his players. Raridon, Lubin, Orange. All solid players and decent values.

My main quibbles with his draft are priorities and "shape":

- I don't dislike either Hood or Smith, but neither knocks my socks off, and the 1-2 combo was underwhelming tobme.
- Too little emphasis on EDGE and OL. Jaedan Roberts at 170 not the OL upgrade I had in mind.

I actually prefer Devin Moore to Colton Hood, and at 94 that was insane value - enough to make me hold off on Keionte Scott.

I missed out on so many guys I really like. But hard to argue for better value than Trevor Goosby at 30 or Moore at 94, and Mesidor very solid at 62. Joly, Stukes, Green, Daniels, Carter and Burks all really good values.

My pick by pick thinking:

30. Parker and Jackson gone at EDGE, no Pierre, a bit too early for Lawrence or Mesidor. Pregnon and Siereveld available for IOL, but I value OT more, IOL is deep, and Goosby is a top-15 value. None of the DBs are good enough to take ahead of him. So I either take Goosby or trade back.

62. I went OL in the first, really want to address EDGE. Reese, Bailey, Bain, Faulk, Parker, Jackson and Lawrence are all off the board, Pierre not in this mock. Mesidor is my last available impact EDGE rusher. DB can wait, very deep group. All roads lead to Akheem Mesidor.

94. DB a need, Devin Moore and Keionte Scott are both top 50 prospects for me. Main issue was which one to choose. Hope Scott would slip.

129. I had a top 50 grade on Joly. Great value. However, on further review, I see Cummings doesn't have Carter Smith in his mock. Not sure why, but I also have a top-50 grade on Smith as an IOL.

130. I really wanted a versatile, disruptive back end to the defense. Heartbroken about missing out on Scott, had to choose between Stukes and Wheatley.

The rest were value picks.

I also see that Kyle Louis is missing from Cummings' draft. So, if allowed a re-re-draft:

30. Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
62. Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami
94. Devin Moore, CB, Florida
129. Carter Smith, OL, Indiana
130. Treydan Stukes, Nickel/S, Arizona
170. Cayden Green, IOL, Missouri
188. CJ Daniels, WR, Miami
194. Arion Carter, LB, Tennessee
204. Caden Curry, EDGE, Ohio St.
208. Dion Burks, WR, Oklahoma
244. Kyle Louis, LB/S, Pittsburgh

Goosby is a top-15 pick on my board, and Mesidor, Moore and Smith are all top 50 picks. Stukes, Green and Carter are top-100 picks on my current board. That's 7 top-100. Daniels, Louis and Curry were top 150, Burks probably should gave been.

I miss out on Sadiq (27), Lawrence (45), Siereveld (48), Freeling (60), Golday (65), Thieneman (88), Scott (101), Branch (117), Joly (137) and Wheatley (169). But overall very happy, both with the individual picks and the cumulative effect.

On offense, Goosby/Smith/Green upgrades the OL considerably. CJ Daniels is a potential Mac Hollins successor, and Dion Burks a potential slot/z.

On defense, Mesidor upgrades the pass rush, Moore gives 3 quality big CBs and a successor to Carleton Davis. Carter, Louis and Stukes are versatile back-7 defensive pieces with athleticism and upside.

I miss out on RB, TE, and another EDGE rusher. Perhaps those can be addressed in FA.

With that draft, my 2027 OL would probably be:

Campbell-Smith-Wilson-Green-Goosby

The secondary would look like:

Outside CB: Gonzalez/Davis/Moore/Stukes
Nickel: Jones/Stukes
S: Woodson/Hawkins/Stukes

Plus Louis as a LB/S.

I'd be pretty stoked with those.

I actually really like his draft. Replace Smith with Thieneman and maybe Robert’s with Green and it turns into a A.
I love the Hood the pick.

I would probably go in a different direction in a few picks but it’s very good.

I agree it's a good draft. I like your 2 replacement ideas.

I don't dislike any of his picks, they are all good players, and most of the values are good.

7 rounds, no trades, using PFSN Simulator. I call this one the "PatsFan2 Draft":

30. Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
62. Eli Raridon, TE, Notre Dame Had the choice of Raridon, Oscar Delp, or Michael Trigg, but know that PF2 loves Raridon.
94. Zachariah Branch, WR, Georgia
129. Ted Hurst, WR, Georgia St.
130. CJ Daniels, WR, Miami. Tough choice between Daniels and Ian Strong.
170. Bryce Lance, WR, N. Dakota St.
188. De'Zhaun Stribling, WR, Ole Miss
194. Malachi Fields, WR, Notre Dame. Both ND guys for PF2.
198. Allan Anderson, WR, LSU
208. Dane Key, WR, Nebraska
244. Jack Endries, TE, Texas

Now one for me:

40. Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas. if Goosby gone, then Monroe Freeling.
70. Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati.
94. Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami.
129. Treydan Stukes, nickel/S, Arizona
130. Devin Moore, CB, Florida
141. Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF
151. Keionte Scott, Nickel, Miami
194. De'Zhaun Stribling, WR, Ole Miss
198. Ahmad Moten, DT, Miami
244. Beau Stephens, OG, Iowa

Plus 2027 3rd (Jax) and 5th (Ariz) picks.

Trading back and getting Goosby/Freeling was easy. Felt sure one would be available.

I missed out on a few folk at 62, so I traded back and got some extra caputal. Took Jake Golday at 70 over Lee Hunter. Similar grade, bigger need.

All roads led to Akheem Mesidor. Mesidor and Golday fix huge needs.

My biggest dilemma was 4th/early 5th rounds. The following players were available on PFSN's board:

130. Ted Hurst, WR, Georgia St.
132. Treydan Stukes, Nickel/S, Arizona
134. Cayden Green, OL, Missouri
136. Zakee Wheatley, S, Penn St.
142. Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF
144. Carter Smith, IOL, Indiana
147. Devin Moore, CB, Florida
153. Keiontre Scott, Nickel, Miami

What a dilemma. Wanted them all. Tough choices.

I passed on Hurst, because I wanted to prioritize the defense. I took Treydan Stukes over Zakee Wheatley due to his nickel/S/outside CB versatility and amazing range.

At that point I wanted Devin Moore, one of Carter Smith/Cayden Green, Malachi Lawrence, and Keionte Scott.

I took Devin Moore at 130 because ai had the highest grade on him, and he would give us amazing strength and depth at CB.

At 141 I took Malachi Lawrence. I had a higher grade on Carter Smith, but gambled he would be available. The idea of Mesidor and Lawrence was too tempting to pass up.

I traded 170 and 188 to Philly for 151, hoping Carter Smith would last. Alas, Smith was taken at 148. But Keionte Scott was a steal.

That left me with 104, 198, and 244. The best players left were on defense, but I had gone defense on 6 consecutive picks. I took Stribling at 194. Niki Prongos was available at 198 but he was a pure tackle. I doubt Ahmad Moten will declare or that he would last, but he was too good to pass up. Torn between Beau Stephens and Bill Schrauth at 244, both better than that.

Love this draft on defense. Missed out on a top IOL, though Beau Stephens has potential.

"My biggest dilemma was 4th/early 5th rounds." That's what I've found at this point in the Season.

I like you went and got Moore at 130. Have to do that.

Well if we're going to continue the PF2 theme, there can only be one reply.

"My biggest dilemma was 4th/early 5th rounds." That's what I've found at this point in the Season.

I like you went and got Moore at 130. Have to do that.

In that draft, even ignoring the unrealistic Moten at 198 pick, the defensive additions would be:

EDGE: Mesidor, Lawrence
LB: Golday
Nickel/S: Stukes, Scott
Outside CB: Moore

If you add that to our existing defense, you would have one heck of a unit. So much pressure and versatility.

I should have been more aggressive about getting Carter Smith or Kenyon Green as well, then it would have been a home run.

Looking at the above mock and James Foster's big board:

40. Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas (8)
70. Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati (63)
94. Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami (74)
129. Treydan Stukes, Nickel/S, Arizona (78)
130. Devin Moore, CB, Florida (34)
141. Malachi Lawrence, UCF (46)
151. Keionte Scott, Nickel, Miami (55)
194. De'Zhaun Stribling, WR, Ole Miss (NR)
198. Ahmad Moten, DL, Miami (52)
244. Beau Stephens, IOL, Iowa (115)

I was able to get the following variation as well, with a lot of trades:

53. Monroe Freeling, OT Georgia (Foster 49) or Max Iheanachor (Foster 38)
67. Kenyatta Jackson, EDGE, Ohio St. (Foster 47)
68. Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech (Foster 32)
94. Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami
109. Zachariah Branch, WR, Georgia (Foster 122)
129. Treydan Stukes, Nickel/S, Arizona
130. Carter Smith, OL, Indiana (Foster 66)
145. Devin Moore, CB, Florida
155. Keionte Scott, Nickel, Miami

Plus a 2027 GB 2nd. Gave up a 2027 5th to trade up for Keionte.

Jake Golday was gone in this mock.

Freeling/Smith at OL, Branch as a long-term Diggs replacement of offense.

Jackson/Mesidor at EDGE, Hunter on DL. Moore, Stukes and Scott in the secondary.

Pick up Tyler Linderbaum, a RB, LB and TE in FA, and this would be a dominant roster.

PFF come up with an almost perfect 3 round mock for us:

30 - Kenyon Sadiq
62 - Dillon Thieneman
94 - Akheem Mesidor

It's hard to improve on that.

Not thrilled with this combo because of the lack of OL. Given they may need a backup LT and definitely need a soon-to-be starter at RT, that's less than ideal.

By the same token I really want to see a TE in the first four rounds. They've basically punted on the position for far too long.

Add PJ Williams and and IOL and I would agree.

The first pick is a TE.

I gave PFSN's simulator a shot. Felt pretty good about the results of a 5 round mock. Took some trade offers and ended up with the following.

44. Siereveld
64. Pregnon
67. Golday
135. Jacob Rodriguez
170. Domani Jackson
