2026 Mock Draft Thread

Dane Brugler post declaration mock out.

Monroe Freeling goes #27 to the Niners, McNeil-Warren goes 29 to the Rams. No other real surprises except...dun dun dun...

30. New England Patriots: Akheem Mesidor, edge, Miami

Yes, Mesidor is older (he’ll turn 25 in April), but he won’t need a ramp-up period as a rookie — Mike Vrabel could wind him up and cut him loose on Day 1. New England ranked in the bottom third of the league in sacks and QB hits and should continue to address its pass rush this offseason.

I knew there was a reason I liked Dane Brugler.

Im sure some of these are not going to fall nearly this far but im taking what's available today.

I'm not going to complain about a draft that has Stribling and Scott in it. I also like Zion Young and Derrick Moore. I can't really get on board with LT Overton with a first round pick though. Still, I really liked the four picks I mentioned.

Yeah I was reading up on LT and figure he could be moved inside.

He could but not as an every down player unless you switch to a 3 man front and play him in the Keion White role. I'd rather have a Caleb Banks or Lee Hunter as a 3rd DL personally. Someone who could play as a 1-gap NT.

They're both in their mid 20s correct?

Trade the pick!

Accidentally posted this in the Safety thread.

FWIW: the last 3 picks before each of these:
Allen: T C. Lomu, T S. Fano, CB B. Cisse
Freeling: LB J. Golday, CB C. Rivers, CB K. Scott
Wheatley: T B. Miller, G C. Bisontis, RB LJ Martin

I guess. I really wanna like him but that seems...risky.
I get it. I've resisted up to now because of the age but the tape is undeniable. There are lots of questions about all the pass rushers in this draft so there's going to be risk taking any of them. Why not just get the prospect whose only real question mark is his age? The tape is there. Against Ohio State he had 2 sacks. Against Texas A&M, arguably the best pass blocking OL in CFB with the highest graded pass blocking LT, he had 11 pressures.

He has the tape, he has the production, it's just that he's going to be a one contract player. Maybe it's better if that one contract is for 5 years rather than 4.

When i saw him and really dived it i felt it was pretty undeniable. That is a first round talent. I am hoping against hope to get him in the 2nd... but i think he will continue to rise as the process goes on. We aren't getting him at 64. No way no how.

Here is where i am. I am not going to do a mock draft on a website. They are too easy to 'beat'. So here is my ideal mock draft.

32 - Trade Down - Probably won't get anyone wanting to make this trade... but i think if we can trade down to say the 40th and 108nd pick <>gotta remember there will be comp picks<>. with the understanding we will be trading back up, that is where the value is.

This assumes the top values of all high paid skill spots are gone. As much as some would be on board to draft a guard. I would be hesitant to do that even for a Mankins type pick. And i don't think there is a Mankins in this draft from the little I looked.

40th - Mesidor - Edge. I think due to his age he falls out of round 1. At 40 he is great value and instantly improves a high depend position of great need. After him you can more easily pick BPA...

Personally i think they should figure out a plan in free agency for the OL. I am not sold on finding good value in this draft after round 1 in IOL and i don't want to over spend on it by using a first round pick on a lower value spot. One guy i have interest in is Anez Cooper but i haven't deep dived him yet.

AtoZ Sports have an interesting 3 round mock for us. Doesn't necessarily hit needs but is an excellent BPA mock

30. Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State
62. Omar Cooper Jr, WR, Indiana
94. Treydan Stukes, CB/S, Arizona

I'd take that in a heartbeat.
