If we're talking about a pay dispute, why would someone go to the police.

There are any number of serious issues raised by all this. Misogyny as a feature of the black subculture, as expressed in the music of that subculture. The pretty obviously superannuated assumption that "sports builds character." The proper role of team athletics in our (failed) education system. The actual standing of feminist values in contemporary mores. And so on.

It would be nice of we were living in an age where serious issues could be discussed in a serious manner, but alas we are not. Happy New Year indeed.

“Shared living situation” is a vague term so please let me clarify my statement.

If, for example, she stayed in the house some nights in order to do her job but had a separate residence, then yes he can tell her to leave anytime he wants.

But if she actually lived there, he can’t just kick her out. So we ask questions like: does she pay rent? (And “rent”‘doesn’t necessarily have to be monetary; her labor could be considered rent). Does she get her mail there? (Mail is a great way to establish residence). What address does she have on her license? How many consecutive nights has she stayed there?

I don’t have experience with Massachusetts law in that area but I know that in other states where I do have some experience there is consideration given to owners living in the same home. Makes sense that protecting them from being forced to share their home with a hostile tenant would be a factor.

The law doesn’t want homeless people wandering the streets each time a tenant and landlord have an argument. Red states tend to give more rights to the landlords, blue states tend to give more rights to the tenants.

Again please let me clarify that I don’t know the facts of this particular situation regarding whether or not she lived there. I am just saying IF she did, the law leans in her favor.

Funny you mention karma. The season was rolling along better than anyone could expect. Not much hint of adversity. Then we hit a spate of injuries and still the wheels don’t come off. Even saw some stories in the media about the new likable Patriots. Now all of a sudden we get these two major stories hitting the headlines about alleged misbehavior from months ago, with scant evidence to substantiate. Hopefully the team remains focused, the process plays out as well as we can hope, the team shows their mettle in handling these bumps in the road and takes care of business on the field. The story is still being told.

As for the election. I worked and donated against Trump at every turn in the primary phase of the election, then held my nose and voted for him as obviously preferable to the dangerously stupid dimwit alternative who was even more dangerous than the Orange Blowhard, a braying she-ass could on no occasion even get out a complete English sentence. The problem, and the national shame, is that we were left with two such dismal alternatives on offer.

As for your animus toward me individually, I genuinely don't give a ****, but do carry on if your insecurities require it.

No animus, although you’re free to impute such if it makes you feel better.

I think there are many of us who would agree about the national shame, and still find it puzzling that one side would critique the other for inability to form coherent English sentences when that characteristic was shared by both candidates. The fact that such happens undermines the ability to have civilized discussions about the real issues.

Self scouting is valuable. Rigorous self examination should be practiced by more than just football teams.

Both complaints against Barmore and Diggs filed on the exact same day (12/16) and both reported to the media within the past 24 hours but neither one happened recently - one on 12/04, one last August - and neither appear to have any evidence. Something is very fishy here

nah. they can brush it off as just supporting one of their players and teammates. but if this goes any further i think they'd be distancing themselves by cutting ties and money etc.

The two incidents reported in the same 24 hours have already been published far and wide beyond the realms of the NFL and it has already tarnished the brand. I know places like Twitter are a cesspool but a lot of blue checks (some prominent people) are commenting on it. And the fact that Diggs has the Patriots support. As we know from Spygate and Deflategate, haters don't do nuance.
