Herbert not playing week 18

I think Josh Allen as the best QB in the NFL (and thus the world) is a pretty popular opinion. There are certainly valid criticisms of him, but most people probably have him #1.

Mahomes hasn't been statistically as good for a while now. Lamar Jackson has a shakier individual playoff history. Maye is in his first year playing at this type of level. Stafford has never been an MVP type of guy before this. Hurts has team success but isn't individually on that level. Herbert isn't an MVP type of guy. On an on.

I think a good 25 years we had "best in the world" be a guy who is in discussion for #1 all time and Allen isn't that level, so maybe it feels a little over-the-top to say he's "best in the world" but it's actually pretty realistic. I think it'd be a hotter take to say he isn't #1 QB playing right now than that he is.
100% correct.
If Maye has another season like this one next year we are having a different conversation, but as of today, Allen is the best QB in the world.

You’d rather a bye, but you also should be able to beat the chargers in the first round.

How will BUF find enough scrubs to play against the jets? Surely, they don't want to win. Besides, the game doesn't matter as much as having rested players for Week 19.

Look for a very long injury report on WED and TH.

Not a problem… Coach V. promised T. Lance a 3-year contract to back up D. Maye if he beats the Broncos on Sunday!!

I agree.

Beating the chargers is much less likely if they are rested and well play hard for even a half against a team playing the best they can.

Of course, we still should be favored.

Donkeys just nearly lost to a kid in his first NFL start. They can lose Sunday. To anyone.

They play down to their opponent so much. I don't have faith denver will make it out of the divisional round

Quite the coaching job by Harbaugh.
I think that Herbert also deserves credit for keeping the team afloat while getting pounded week in and week out. I doubt that either will be able to overcome the OL issues in the playoffs.

I actually agreed with going for 2 if that’s what you’re referring to. Called it earlier in the 4th quarter. I would have done it too.
Therefore, we should all think it was a great idea?

Chargers will be a very tough prospect to face especially now they are resting up starters this week.
The Pats started resting starters last week.

I don't want Buffalo at New England as our Wild Card matchup.....that's supposed to the AFC Championship GAME!

Ooo boy...If that does happen, I expect Gillette to be pumping.

Be worried if you hear about the Bills bringing in Jerod Mayo for a consulting session.
