In prior posts you said snaps - not routes. The math is 1.68 and so? There is a reason Hollins leads all WRs in running plays and catches per route run in right there with Hunter Henry.
Show this because it's not accurate. See Hunter Henry. Is this the N'Keal Harry logic you used in pre-season?
Williams is not a better receiver than Hollins. More explosive, sure. Hollins has only one drop. Douglas and Williams have more and a lower catch %. If Douglas was better he/d have more targets and catches.
The coaching staff and Maye have more confidence in Hollins on the field in run/pass situations than Williams, EC3 and Douglas. Hollins is #3 for WRs in catch % and 1st down % per catch. To say he is behind Williams, Douglas, and EC3 is not accurate.
I'm fine with you calling him a JAG as he is a WR3/4/5 and replaceable but you are trivializing his production as easily replaceable today and the numbers show from Williams and Douglas they aren't.
I have always said per route run. He is not close to most per route run.
It is completely accurate. If you don’t understand per route run, then ask. But saying it’s not accurate is a lie.
Hollins career yards per route run was 1.07 which is dreadful, and yes comparable to NKeal Harry.
This year he is 1.6. 1.6-1.07=0.53/1.07=0.495
48.5% improvement because if Maye. That’s as close as it gets to “about 50”.
Diggs yprr this year is 2.42
Henry a tight end is 1.61
Douglass is 1.99
Williams who has spend most of the year as a decoy is 1.24 and increasing.
I’m sorry but Williams and Douglas are better receivers. Your argument is the coaches are always right and mine is they are wrong here and the date supports it. I’m further you are arguing that because he plays more he has more catches, and I am saying if you replace him the offense has better receivers running routes and will be more effective.
Williams partially replaced him yesterday and caught the same number of passes Hollins averages. Again we are talking about 3 catches for 37 yards per game, while running 23 routes. You really don’t think having Diggs, Boutte, Williams and Douglas share those snaps replaced 37 yards?
Yesterday it more than did that in a half.
Hollins is a JAG. He can run a route and have Maye throw him a catchable ball 3 times game. Diggs, williams, Douglas, Boutte are dynamic receivers who can get open in addition to executing the play called for them.
It’s fine if you want to think Hollins is irreplaceable and dynamic you will just never be able to back that up with facts. This is his 5th team in 5 years, I don’t think the other 4 agreed with you.
