So the Pats have an outside shot at the 1 seed, but not very likely. They are very likely the 2 seed, but could also end up the 3 seed. However, they can be no worse than the 3 seed.

While we'd all like a bye week, they can theoretically take a "bye" of sorts by resting tons of players (or at least as many as they can) vs Miami next week. Even if they lose, the worst that happens is they drop to the 3 seed. However, that means they could eventually end up needing to travel to Jacksonville depending on how things fall instead of hosting Jacksonville. So, it depends on if you'd rather host that game weeks from now, or if you'd rather give your guys rest now at the risk of perhaps one seeding placement drop.
Would you rather face the Chargers as the likely #7 seed or the Texans as the likely #6? Both have their strengths and weaknesses, but both are definitely beatable.

Deleted my duplicate thread lol

So who rests next week if anyone? Can’t imagine they’re not scoreboard watching the Broncos game so it probably depends on what’s happening there I guess.
They'll probably align the games so they play at the same time. I believe all games the final weeks are TBD so they can ensure as many teams as possible play their starters. But unless the Chargers value playoff seeding over health it's hard to imagine them playing the majority of their starters.

They need another game like today: put it away by the third quarter, pull starters, let the chips fall where they may. Funny enough im more worried about wildcard weekend than the divisional round. This team needs time to heal
Ultimately I think I'd rather get the easier wild card matchup versus the higher seed, but those two things may end up being one-in-the-same. The best matchup by far is the Chargers, who will very likely be the #7 seed. So the Pats should probably seek to win and stay the #2 seed in order to pull the Chargers in the wild card round. Then the week after that, they'll get the second-lowest seed remaining - so even if Buffalo wins in week 1, they still won't get them, as Buffalo will likely be the #6 seed and would go to Denver. NE would end up getting the winner of Houston or Pittsburgh in week 2 in that scenario.

Suck it, NFL.

Josh Allen's fiancee earlier this year, referring to the division as "The Buffalo Bills, and the Bills' three sons":

That same year, Josh Allen would choke away a game against the Eagles by badly missing a throw to an open receiver on a 2 point conversion, hand-delivering the AFC East title to the Patriots.

Ironic.

She’s hot. I’ll allow it.

I personally would rather have the next best chance to host the AFCCG at home. I don't think Houston is anymore or less a threat than LA. The Chargers have done a commendable job playing the way they have given all those injuries. Houston's offense is meh. Defense can be tough, but they are not holding this team to 23 or less, and that team isn't putting up 24 on us.

Buffalo and Denver are the threats. Buffalo because, well, they are Buffalo, a tough gritty playoff tested team. Playing in Denver is just always a playoff nightmare and they are good in both sides of the ball. Jacksonville I am not sold on especially in the cold in NE.

With all that said I think this team could absolutely lose to any of these teams, I believe there is something to having playoff experience. Even if it was an ass whooping a year ago. The lack of playoff experience is truly my only concern assuming we don't have any more weird injury issues out of nowhere i.e. Hollins.

At the end of the day I think we are the best and most balanced team in the AFC when considering all three phases. The Broncos are the next best well rounded team good offense with a tough defense. Jacksonville could be a tough out down there, so would rather have that game happen in NE if it should work out that way.

Just an unbelievable turnaround. Kudos to Vrabel, staff, and even Kraft for owning his colossal mistake hire and acting decisively.

4-13 to winning the division.

Wow.

I have no idea if this team can go deep into the playoffs . I have strong confidence the team will be a problem in the AFC for a long time.
But...but they played the weakest Schedule in the NFL.

AI's just not ready yet.
I think that says 'Ravens' in the end zone.

Not to mention the stadium is full of fans while Maye is in a suite with Tom Brady, wearing a jersey that has his full name. In quotation marks.

I'll take the division and the home playoff game but still think Bills should have kicked the XP, the 5 seed is prime real estate this season if you can't win your division.

The Steelers stink and the Ravens blow every big game in the 4th Q, The Eagles couldn't move the ball at all anymore if the Bills kick the XP they eventually win that.

Congrats to my Pats brothers and sisters, it's been a hell of a season.
Regardless of what happens the rest of the way, I think we can all agree that we are ahead of schedule and we have an absolute assassin for a QB.
Maye and the Pats are going to be a problem for the rest of the league for the foreseeable future.
