Thanks for posting that. The Brady interview was really good, gave great insight into what shaped him into the GOAT. That commentary by blind “SightBringer” was to me a loser mentality, endorsing apologies instead of accountability and excellence. It was disgusting reading his commentary and thinking about all the meaningful activities where excellence is the minimum acceptable standard and realizing that he is telling all his readers it’s okay to not strive for excellence. I’m very glad that my surgeons haven’t listened to him, nor my flight instructors. They are all just a few of the folks I hope choose Brady’s approach over practicing mediocrity and then trying to break the habit of mediocrity when excellence is necessary. You play like you practice. Brady’s genius was to practice taking everything to the highest level every minute of every day. It’s too bad that’s so rare.

So hard for me to hate on Welker for that. I wish he caught that, but I mean.... Welker made a lot of catches, but rarely do I remember them being like that. I also blanket my analysis with: it never comes down to one thing, making it easier to swallow when someone messes up a catch.

The thing that pisses me off most about him is his time after the Patriots.
Agree mostly. Except wasn't that the game TB had bad safety on the opening play, so we had no chance at a field goal at the end, and then underthrew a wide open Gronk in the end zone for an interception? Or do I have the wrong game.

Yep. Easy to blame Welker, but the defense was atrocious that game allowing the Giants to hold the ball for almost twice as long as the Pats did. The margin of error for the offense got slimmer each drive. It didn't help though when Brady threw that dumb ass bomb to Gronk that got INT when the defense just handed the offense a turnover. The safety to start the game as well.

Aside from him somehow knocking out Talib, he was on the decline. In fact, had he re-signed, Edelman signs with the Giants.

That safety was during a time that Tom was still having PTSD from the first Giants meeting. He was very skittish in he pocket from 2009-2013 and was going through a phase where he was seeing ghosts and ducking for no reason at times.

That's another game where he underthrew Gronk, which I'm trying to remember which one.

The death blow was Brady getting is shoulder dislocated in the 3rd quarter. His numbers before/after show the difference.

The did a great job taking away Victor Cruz. They forced Eli to have the game of his life to beat them and he did.

This.

I'll never forgive that ****y POS for that. That's ballgame if he catches that.
****y, how so?
Never remember him being anything but a good soldier.
****y certainly is a word that comes to mind when I think about Welker's time here.

PTSD from a previous year’s injury?

Godwin & Ridley also..

Hopefully this offseason with Brown or Jefferson…

I think he set a record for consecutive completions in a super bowl up to that point.
