So you think administrative assistants should be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame? Will Vinatieri need to wait another year?
This is funny. I chuckled. I truly don’t care at all about the NEP HoF, but it is funny to think that the game’s greatest kicker would be bypassed by Miss Nancy…

Shortly after the draft. With 50+ years of service, she is their longest tenured employee, and IMO deserves to be in the Pats HOF.

Absoluitely she desrves that. Much respect and kudos to her career, dedication and retirement.

That would seem a bit more than a 'secretary' or an 'administrative assistant' or no?
Misogynists don't even realize the 1001 small ways they give themselves away...
Maybe in 100 years it'll be a thing of the past.

Individual Team HOF can induct just about anyone.

The Chiefs have a team executive inducted in theirs - Jack Steadman. Parcells is in the Pats HOF and he screwed the Pats in more ways than one. Adam V should be in yesterday. That's on Kraft.

Why die on this hill instead of congratulating her? Hall of fame or not it’s ok to give her flowers and appreciate a run that long and dedicated

Andy is Kenny on South Park, he can die on that hill every day and come back to die on it the next day.

Here I was wondering how this news could possibly generate three pages of responses. . . .

Really?
There couldn't have been more than a moment's thought between the thought and looking to see why.
If there was you would have known

Honestly, she might deserve it more.
He was only here 9 years.
Nancy was working under Bucko Kilroy while Vinatieri was still in diapers.

Gil Santos is in there. So is the former director of the cheerleaders.
The NFL HOF inducted GMs Bill Polian and Ron Wolf. Scout Gil Brandt and NFL Films President Steve Sabol.

Let’s put the security guards and parking attendants in the hall of fame too. How about the cashier in the pro shop?
Keep digging.

Yes would have been a good guess that I gave my opinion on a comment and Ring6 Derangement Syndrome kicked in.

Agreed. I personally think, given that they have already put non football folks in, that she is a mortal lock. She spend her life working for the Pats.

I think what the dissenting voices may be missing, probably from never having worked at a place where people will almost work for free just to be inside the building, is that to keep a job with the Patriots for 50 years and be steadily moved upwards is not just about being nice or having folks like you. The lady may look like a grandma, but she’s probably one of the most effective people in the building at getting stuff done.

Yep. It wouldn't really be an exception as there is a precedent. Bob already added Gil Santos and Tracey Sormanti to the Pats HoF. While neither one of them played, coached, or built the team, they played a great part in furthering the brand and fan experience.

Nancy retires as the Director or Personnel Administration and has had that role for over two decades. She had team of people under her. She wasn't some low-level office lackey. She and her team were the first person draftees and free agents dealt with. Players and coaches appreciated her work. Her organization did it's job extremely well. You could argue she made the NEP a better org to deal with and not some operationally dysfunctional **** show like the Jets or some other bottom dweller.

If Bob wants to recognize someone who worked for the NE 52 years that did a good job as worthy of the NEP HOF then great. If not, then whatever. His choice.
Guys saying she's an administrative assistant makes it sound like she's a greeter at Walmart. It's an attempt to degrade or marginalize her. Thanks for making the point that she had a team of people under her.
