I don't I what gonzo had done this season That warrants him 30 million a year . I would just pick his 5th year option and ask him to prove his worth . I don't think we should sign any extension for him yet.

Barmore is a sunk cost . His dead cap is 12 million and cap hit is 17 million . Not sure what his trade value will be . Nobody will even trade for him . He is probably cut in 2027.

Spillane, williams , hollins , Tonga , diggs , Henry , hooper are worth their contracts .

Davis , barmore , landry and rham are overpaid . Since chiefs are not there this season , if we get lucky we can probably get the golden prize this year . Next year I feel we might have the commanders lowdown . So don't even trade 2027 draft picks as most likely they could be in late teens.

I might seem a bit negative , but looking at what's happened and how we have gotten here, looks extremely unlikely to ascend with so few noteworthy performances from our highly paid and highly drafted players.
Pretty much disagree with every word of this gem.

Agreed here. And you hit on it perfectly. Paying 2 guys that have minimal impact rushing I don't even see Barmore getting off single blocks where as in the past he was shedding double teams..

Remember Barmore got extended under mayo and Vrabel identified Barmore as a BB drafted player that could play in this system.

Is why I mentioned if he's played hurt or not I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but it's been a big enough sample to make a analysis on him.

He's actually hurting the defense because of his ineffectiveness.

Barmore is 8th in quarterback pressures, and he's playing without Williams.

cant believe this is controversy being manufactured here

In retrospect JSN woukd have been the homerun draft pick rather than Gonzalez

How much is worth to have the top run defnse in the NFL. Is it worth paying Williams, Barmore and Tonga? Of course it is.

No RB was able to run for more than 50 yards. Let that sink in.

I bet you they've had this headline written since week 3 and didn't expect the win streak, only itching for the moment we lost to employ it. Clown-ass media.

If you wanna talk any level of coaching decisions on coaching, the discussion should be around: what's the future of this defense and its coaching? I'm not too convinced Kuhr is the future, but it's hard to tell with our personnel at this moment.

That being said, Williams was just seen walking through the locker room today.

Today is the day that Mike Vrabel is going to learn the Boston Media is NOT like the Tennessee media.

When Belichick first got to be New England head coach, he was a lot more forthcoming in his press conferences. He learned his lessons pretty quickly, and he totally changed his demeanor. I suppose he was quick to understand how the Boston media operates because he already knew from Parcells -- who was irascible with the media -- how bad it could get.

The last thing Vrabel needs is this media nonsense planting any doubt, even a small seed at the 1% level, about the direction of the offense.

They will take your words and blow them out of proportion (I note that this seems to be something that happens in New England a helluva lot).

I'm sure he remembers it from his first stint with the Pats. He doesn't seem as concerned with the use of bulletin-board material, but I doubt he's blindsided by the sudden flip. It comes with the territory.

Maybe they had too much time off, because sunday the d was tackling like they did in the first two games.

Early in the 2025 season, the New England Patriots' defense displayed a shockingly poor habit of missing tackles all over the field. It cost them and led to a dismal 1-2 start of the Mike Vrabel era in Foxborough. It was not exactly what the former (and maybe still hopeful) NFL Coach of the Year wanted to see.

After putting aside that sloppy habit during their 10-game win streak, back it came against the Bills, and it was costly. They had 10 missed tackles against Buffalo, and if you're facing a quarterback like Josh Allen, you've sealed your fate.

Wouldn't it be something if the Bills $h!t the Bed in Cleveland on Sunday. Myles Garrett could go off stranger things have happened: you know they had our game penciled in.

From patriots.com

9. Last Chance
Maye couldn't get anything going on the next drive, punting the ball back to the Bills but that's when the Patriots defense stepped up for the first time in the second half, forcing a punt and giving the Pats offense one more crack at it with 2:43 left to play.
But the Patriots offense remained disjointed, and Maye's final fourth-down pass fell incomplete. Buffalo picked up a final first down to seal the win.
=========
The Defense finally stepped up, giving Maye and the Offense 2:43 left to play. FULL STOP

I can.

As of a couple of weeks ago Gonzalez had allowed 1 touchdown in hid career. He's a shutdown corner, but of course a quitter like Sam would find fault with that.

The **** people are talking on this site is absolutely ridiculous. What a bunch of losers the **** talkers are.

We are all different
That's what makes a message board

curran is suggesting vrabel is not happy with josh's playcalling?

I just listened to this, and I can't believe what I just hear from Curran.

With a virtually REVAMPED team the Pats are a top 10 scoring team in the league. He has developed our QB from a decent rookie into an MVP candidate, and OBTW, had an offense that scored 31 points without the benefit of a TO in the game everyone seems to have a hardon about.

THIS is the guy you are creating an issue about, TOM? Well now there is ANOTHER mediot I don't have to listen to anymore.[/QUOTE]

Agree. This is a non issue that the Boston media wants to make an issue.
