2026 Watch List

Even better if 4-6.

Rounds 1-3, any 3 out of:

- RT: Monroe Freeling, Trevor Goosby, Nicki Pringos, Blake Miller
- IOL: Vega Ioane, Emmanuel Pregnon, Austin Siereveld, Carter Smith, Chase Bisontis
- LB/EDGE: Sonny Styles, CJ Allen, Jake Golday, Josiah Trotter, Anthony Hill
- EDGE: Yhonzae Pierre, TJ Parker
- WR: Chris Bell

Add any 3 from these categories plus Foster's sleepers day 3 with our 7 picks, and you'd have one heck of a draft.

My top 150 dream draft according to this board, using current draft order:

30. TJ Parker, EDGE (37) (Yhonzae Pierre if he declares)
62. Monroe Freeling, OT (67)
94. Jake Golday, LB (111)
124. Austin Sievereld, OL (134)
130. Kade Pieper, IOL (133)

Matt Miller has graded CFP prospects by round at ESPN. Some I found interesting or maybe different to previous consensus:

He has Mesidor, Jacob Rodriguez and Keionte Scott all as 2nd rounders. This makes me sad.

2 months to the Combine and 4 months to the Draft, a lot can happen but the lack of 1st Rd QB's is a bit disheartening. Hopefully a couple overachieve at the Combine for the desperate-at-heart teams.

And we still don’t know if Moore or Simpson are declaring.

I'm sure once they have assurances that they would go Top 5-ish, they'll come declare. Too much can happen going back for another year. Both need more game play but the guaranteed $$ speaks.

I think it makes sense to come out this year. Next year is looking much more competitive and there's no guarantee Moore goes first or second next year. It's a slightly different story for Simpson who really has damaged his stock to the point where a top 10 might be out of the question.

Yup. Simpson can still redeem himself but it would likely mean winning at least 2 playoff games with v good play.

The 2023 On3 all freshman team is quite instructive

So for 2028, burn these names into your head

Mike Renner top 150:

He has Trevor Goosby as his top OT at #7 overall. Monroe Freeling at #44 but notes he could go higher.

Others of interest:

24. Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona St.
26. Jakes Golday, LB, Cincinnati
27. Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah
38. Trevor Lauck, OT, Iowa
39. Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech
43. Keionte Scott, Nickel, Miami
46. Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF
49. Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami
50. Carter Smith, OL, Indiana

Oh, his top rated TE: Kenyon Sadiq, Oregon, #23 overall. No surprise there.

His 2nd rated TE: Jamari Johnson, Oregon, #45 overall.

Cory Kinnan is a big Jamari Johnson fan too.

The bolded is a tough top 50 for me, well for a lot of us - throw in Freeling too. And Lee Hunter at 39. The top two rounds could get ugly fast binky wise if he's right.

Ahmad Moten of Miami at 41 is one I've been waiting to talk about but I've been waiting to see if he declares. He's the highest graded draftable pass rusher on the interior DL. He's 325lbs and has only had one game all season without multiple pressures.

As for Trevor Goosby, he's one of the prospects I'm most waiting for declaration news on. If he declares he goes right to the top of my personal OT list. Of course, if he does declare, I think he's more likely to be in the Mike Renner range than available for the Pats.

Between Fano, Mauigoa, Goosby, Freeling, Lomu, Iheanachor, Williams, Miller and Prongos, there are likely to be some solid tackles, especially RT. Siereveld and Smith may move inside, but also good.

It's probably going to be a very good draft for a team that could use a quality starting RT in 2027.

Update big board from Trevor Sikkema:

I give Sikkema credit for sticking with his guns, but his rankings seem very off in a lot of cases.

I like Trevor but I agree. I've not agreed with him a whole lot this year. He ad Conner still have the best draft podcast though.

I did see this though (see my latest safety post)

113. S Tao Johnson, Utah Utes

Johnson is an athlete through and through. He played dual-threat QB in high school and was labeled an athlete as a recruit. He started his college career as a wide receiver but quickly switched to defensive back. He played 2023 in the nickel while starting as a free safety in 2024. Though he is still a bit rough around the edges as a safety (and needs to gain weight), his potential coverage impact is sky-high.
