You know me and that position and we actually Drafted him so there's that. Also Tommy you had me sold that we were going kick Buffalo's @ss with Benford out What happend??
Bad kick return coverage and defense couldn't get off the field. You watched the game right?

Did I??

I have no idea, honestly. I'm not sure you watch any games. I think it's possible you just look up WR fantasy stats, and just regurgitate what you see there.
Our WR's wasn't a fantasy on Sunday they were like a Nightmare.

Nothing revolutionary about a 3 safety defense, but interesting nonetheless…

This is one GREAT video, as well as a scary one.

This defense and its offshoots seem like a good match up for what the Pats like to do on offense.

Do yourself a favor and watch it 2 or 3 times so you really get a feel for the flexibility of the scheme. I'd love to do it, but we don't have the S's to do it. But watch some of the blitz sets because they look very effective and wouldn't mind stealing some stuff from that.

Here we are, what, 4 years later, and Kyle Van Noy is STILL a very effective Edge player

Depends if the eagles get back on track. If they beat buffalo, us beating the ravens would mean we can afford to drop one of the last 2.
unfortunately, the Eagles are SOOOOO far ahead of the NFCLEAST that they will have zero necessity to win this game. Their job now is to win enough to get a home game, and with 2 games against Washington that they can't possibly lose there is no chance they can't reach those 2 goals, even with a loss to the Bills

On the road vs a desperate team, Pats will need some turnovers to win based on how terrible they were against last week vs a team with a good run game and a QB that can run....Baltimore has good TEs, just like Buffalo. Baltimore is only giving up 76 yards/game on the ground since their bye so we can't count on 50 yard td runs. We know McDaniels thinks he'll die a slow terrible death without a 50/50 pass/split, so get ready for a bunch of 0-3 yard runs. Add this to the Patriots having the worst run defense in the NFL since Milton Williams got hurt - I think the footy pajamas crowd is grasping at straws. There's a reason Baltimore is favored by 3.
If Baltimore plays a clean game, no turnovers, limit penalties, they win by a touchdown or more.
The Patriots are going to need Maye to win the game for them. He's only attempting 29.2 passes per game, which is insane because McDaniels had Mac Jones (30.6) actually pass more than Drake Maye and Maye has more at his disposal than Jones in 2021.
Maye has a chance to change the narrative Sunday night, let's hope Mcdaniels let him have a chance.

Regarding the Eagles: the One and Two seeds are still up for grabs in the NFC. Eagles have the tiebreaker over the Rams who play @ Seattle. If the Rams lose Things get very tight: everybody will be playing at the end.

I think Philly beats Buffalo. I think the eagles will run the ball on buffalo and sprinkle in a few passes here and there until buffalo shows it can stop the run. Which they cant. Philly will have success running and wont abandon it like we did. Time of possession will favor philly. If buffalo gets down a couple scores again by halftime I dont see them recovering against this team. Barkley will feast.
Why should PHI care about the game with BUF?

It must be said. Landry has been a liability for the last half of the season.
Sure he has most sacks on the team, but most of those come from 3rd opportunities when the middle is getting blown up by our DT's. He backs into half of his sacks by luck.
Problem is - he isn't good at quick recognition of a play, very slow at change of direction, runs past ball-carriers most of the time, gets swallowed up by OT's the rest of the time.
I know Ponder isn't much better - but at least faster and has occasional power to pressure QB.
We'll get torched by even a "Limping Lamar" if it's Chaisson & Landry on the edge.

We know what our Draft and FA Needs are in 26.

Not sure how much this is new strategy wise.

Seems to me, BB played big nickel too, 10 & 20 years ago. Just you got to have that special talent (like a Rodney H. or the Ravens guy) that gives you that flexibility.

philly has not been consistent running the ball. Their offenive identity is AWOL. We can hope their defense can shutdown buffalo. Not even sure why philly will be motivated to play if rams clinch first seed by then

i wonder if the pats couldve used keion white even for depth instead of trading him for a low round pick.

If there is nothing to play for I assume it will be a moot point other than perhaps trying to get their offense on track if its floundering going into that game.

True... but I'm going to be watching the Defense.. they need a statement game.. they need to get that stench of the 2nd half meltdown out of them...

They dont have the horses. only way the defense stops the run is if we get early lead and the other team thinks running is out of question. That is what has happened in the previous games until it almost caught up vs the bengals and eventually did vs the bills. if the ravens commit to running the ball all game, we wont be able to stop it. We dont have the bodies.

Agreed.. the depth is tested.. listing to red Johnson on WEEI afternoon show.. he discussed Barmore, Tonga, Durden all had terrible games... that was the issue this game.. I don't expect all 3 to be abysmal against Ravens...

The guys who do suit up.. are MUCH BETTER players than we saw the second half.. we have an excellent 3rd down defense and bills were 57% on 3rd down..

So.... the defense is going to have to find a way to force TOs.. it's inconceivable to me gonzo and Davis have 0 INTs..

Hope we have Spillane back.. Ellis is probably the best player we have in the front 7 at LB..
