It’s really a repeat of the Raiders game. We stopped running the ball.
We had 5 drives in the second half and ran the ball 3 times. Despite one of them being a 65 yard run.
We threw 15 times with 3 of them resulting in sacks and a number of others in pressures.
We somehow managed to turn a 250 yard rushing day into a second half where the bills ignored our running game and attacked the pass rush.
All of that after building a 17 point lead by running 22 times and throwing 11 and dominating the game.
There is no excusing a defense allowing 5 straight TD drives but Josh bears a lot of responsibility for this loss after being the number 1 blame for the Raiders loss.
Stevenson ran 6 times for 50 yards in the first half, Maye 4 for 43. Neither had a rush in the second half.
That was headscratching

All they did was guard against over the top throws. That's it. They dropped 6 guys back to guard our 3.

We needed to focus on the short game and stay patient.

But you could see Maye had plenty of time and no one to throw it too.

They needed better designs to counter what the Bills did.
Good post: McDaniels better stop reading his press clippings. You can get by beating the sisters of the poor; things get a little tighter against the iron. All our Three Losses have been to Teams with Veteran Head Coaches ie... Carroll - Tomlin and McDermott. Hmmmm vet HC Harbaugh next??

Looks like whether we beat BAL or not, if we can beat Jets & Fins, we're likely going to host Chargers or Texans at home in the wildcard. Either as 2nd or 3rd seed. If we can beat the Ratbirds, then playing Chargers as the 2nd seed would be a lot better than facing that Texans D.

The thing that perplexes me is how our Entire Offense Folded in the Clutch. It's like Bye-Week did them no good. We have Won games like yesterday before this Team needs to find it's Clutch Genes.

Orlovsky talks about what the Bills did to Drake in the second half. He talks about on the Pats second half possessions and specificially on 2nd and 3rd downs, they showed Maye a different defense they haven't used all game. It starts at 4:25. Orlovsky also discusses how the Bills schemed their players open on their red zone trips. Vrabel and his staff were schooled in the second half.

Cook, Allen & duct tape…

Colts would have to be choice one. Although that looks like a stretch.

I’d say Jags would be second, then the Chargers, Buffalo, lastly Houston. (Just assuming here the Bills won’t fall to the 7 seed) Houston’s DL is the last thing I want to see right away in the WC round.

I know some PatsFans think otherwise: but that Texans Team is the most Dangerous Team in the AFC. That Defense can win em a Super Bowl.

Shows Buffalo saved the best for yesterday: hope McDaniels learned from it if we meet a Third Time.

That defense is excellent, but I feel Denver’s D is equally impressive & they’re a more well rounded team; plus the altitude factor. I don’t trust Stroud at all..

Yeah I'm noticing.

Listen Maye haters. The offense did enough and scored enough to should have won the game. The defense gave up 5 straight TDs on 5 straight drives. You can not do that and expect to win any game. ST coverage was not good and the defense was flat out terrible second half. Key players were sorely missed and the truth was on display for all to see. This team will live or die by our starting players, we simply do not have the depth yet to compete at a high level if there’s injuries. Not sure how many pressures Lowe allowed, but he didn’t play great either.
Its hard to understand why at this point anyone would hate maye, but this IS the patsfan forum. After 20 years on here i should have remembered...The main tenent is ''what have you done for me lately''

I would have to say the offense did not do enough. Pass protection was not bad. There were a couple of passes that didn't get caught that have been previously. Hollins in the end zone, perfect pass, couldn't see if it was knocked away or just went through his hands. Hunter big third down, ball a little behind but again went right through his hands. The second half was too reminiscent of 2022. I hope the team is not mentally scarred. Defense really misses Williams. He seems to be the glue. Very disappointed in the run defense. Marcus Jones had a lot of action. Don't know if he was targeted or that's just how the play's developed. I'm trying hard not to panic.

Look at this defensive scheme. Like what are we doing here fellas?

Look at what Chiasson is doing. Is he trying to cover the RB or chip him? wtf lol
