2026 Draft: Cornerback

So many good ones.

I don't get the hate for this draft. So deep, so many guys who project to be productive playersat the next level.

A perfect draft for a team that's gone from 4-13 twice to 11-2 to up the overall talent level of their roster.

It’s a good depth draft and maybe it’s early, we won’t get a good feel for this draft until the Senior Bowl, but I’m not as excited about these prospects as I was last year. Aside from Mesidor, Scott, Rodriguez and maybe Stukes, I don’t get the feels in the same way I did with Kyle Williams, Tory Horton, Lequint et al that I did last year. Long way to go yet though.

Just doing some PFF scouting and I discovered that Treydan Stukes is the 3rd highest graded draft eligible CB behind only Chris Johnson and Mansoor Delane. Also, the prospects with the most INTs are on 5, there's a number of them, but Stukes is right behind on 4. I am formally upgrading him to binky.

Brice Pollock, CB, Texas Tech. 6', 195lbs

He's a true junior so he may not declare but he's been sneakily good this year. I wonder if a good playoff run encourages him to declare. Either that or a good watch list guy for next year.

81.9 coverage grade
78.9 run defense grade, 4 missed tackles

5 INTS (joint leader in CFB)
4 PBUs

He only just trails Chris Johnson and Mansoor Delane in QB rating against.

Another James Foster guy.

Really nice sticky coverage on those two reps against Georgia.

Devin Moore. Good day 2 outside corner depth piece and future Carlton Davies future replacement.

Sam Teets CB rankings:

Would love 1 each of:

- Nickle/safety: Keionte Scott or Treydan Stukes
- Big outside CB: Kelley Jones, Devin Moore, Julian Neal, Tacario Davis or Jyaire Hill

Can he cover TE's?

Can he cover TE's?
He's 6' so better positioned than Marcus* to do it. That's why I also like Treydan Stukes, another slot corner, who is 6'2". He's my ideal NCB/safety hybrid built to be a TE killer. I'm drafting Scott to bring an aggressive/attacking option to our defense. Scott does come with an 87.8 coverage grade though.

* Although we have seen some coverage fails from Marcus recently, I'm not thinking about replacing him, just getting some quality backups/schematic alternatives to him.
