His most egregious non throw today was when he pumped, then got sacked. On the replay you see Williams sitting down in the zone wide open. Thats who he pumped to...and then took the sack. Inexcusable.
Do you have a clip? Or a game time

And let's not forget, as much as the defense sucked today....THEY GOT THE BALL BACK with plenty of time and 2 time outs and Maye looked like he looked most of last season

Uhhh. Did you notice the score at all? We played well in the first half. They played a little better in the second. How is that a "brutal beatdown"? Ridiculous.

Today they were throughly abused from the middle of the second quarter nonstop for the rest of the game.

I have zero concerns that they'll lick their wounds and bounce back, but today was a lot worse than the final score.

So maybe it’s not too late to do the testing to see if he has it. There’s still hope.
The tests are the games. He has plenty of time to show that he won't turtle in the big moments. Something is catastrophically wrong with this team if you lookout the 2nd half performances by the offense. They mustn't be making adjustments because they go in the ****ter more often than not and then hang in there for dear life.

Hell that Henderson TD run in the 4th to put them up again, was all on him. Nobody did anything else that run was stuffed.

I think the Pats feel a little like the Broncos of last year. watching the broncos game right now and they are a better team than last year. They may still lose. Maye missed a few open receivers today a couple times maye chose the run to the sideline. he does need to learn to take some of the short passes or cant all be 40+ yards.
Which plays did he miss open receivers.

I didn't read all 22 pages. So forgive me if I am redundant.

I am more disappointed than upset. For some reason, I thought this might happen when the Patriots were up going into halftime. This isn't the first time they let another team they demolished in the first half to come back a bit. But the Bills are a much better team than the others.

I am still at the point that anything the Pats gets from this point is gravy. Eleven wins far exceeds my expectations of them. Although I want them to win in the playoffs.

I don't get how this could be a game of two halves like this. How can the Pats play so well on both sides of the ball in the first half and the Bills play so bad and the script completely flip. I mean it was like they changed uniforms at halftime.

I think a huge issue is the kick coverage team. It has been a liability this entire year. Far too many teams have gotten returns beyond their 40 yard line (one into the Patriots end zone). Two kick returns gave Allen field position on the Patriots' side. Made it far too easy for them to score.

Obviously, the other issue is the red zone defense. What we saw today will send the Pats to one and done if they face the Bills in the playoffs.

I don't get the play calling. The first half was innovative and unpredictable. The second half I feel they restrained Maye by just turning him into a pocket passer.with a lot of short quick throws rather than a lot deep ones. Where were the rollouts to the right that killed the Bills in the first game? Where were the RPOs beyond that one play? I feel they got too predictable in the second half.

Maye was not good in the second half. He needed to step up and he didn't. He wasn't helped by his receivers at times, but he didn't seem to own the moment like an elite QB should. He did in the first half though. I think he tried to play like Brady too much today and not like Maye.

I am not blaming the refs because they did make some bad calls or non-calls against the Bills, but they were calling some real ticky-tack stuff against the Patriots and not the Bills. Some at key moments.

This defense needs Spillane and Williams back. Assuming Williams can come back and not be hindered by the ankle sprain, I think this defense can be really good in the playoffs. I think the loss of Spillane was huge today. Gibbens played really well in the first half, but I think Spillane would have gotten the defense more organized been in the right spots.

I honestly missed most of the second half. Can someone explain what the hell happened to us offensively???? Like what was Buffalo doing that resulted in such a stagnant offense? Or was it Josh’s conservative approach?? Was Maye off target? Benford & their other CB were out…

Probably needed a loss at some point.

Did NOT appreciate the flags. Was hanging out with Giants fans who even spoke up about the momentum shifting bias.

Was a great smack in the face loss.

Hope to see us play better in 2nd halves moving 4ward.

That's Mac Jones/Bailey Zappe 2023 level awful
The good news is that has been an anomaly for Maye and you can have faith it wouldn't happen in a rematch the bad news is the redzone defense has sucked all season and has showed no signs of improving and there's no guarantee the Bills wouldn't just go 5/5 again.

The defense needed 1 stop multiple times and couldn't get it done.

It’s the NFL. **** happens. We had 2 drives killed by sacks, Henry dropped a 3rd down conversion another 3rd down called back on a holding penalty on Onwenu. The final play was tipped by a rusher with Diggs open. Little things.

Unbelievable overreactions here. We lost by a few points against a perennial contender with the best QB in the league.

We won the first half. They won the second and won the game by four points. Pull yourselves together. Ridiculous. A lot of fans here got ahead of themselves with all the championship stuff. This is a team in a rebuild, essentially in the first year of a rebuild, and they have exceeded every reasonable expectation. Maybe a little gratitude and perspective would not be out of order.
No fan base enjoys watching the wheels come off.

Stafford is up 10 on the Lions, that's Sam Darnold losing that game.
Oops. But my point still remains, there's still time for them to stumble, too.

In any case, as I've noted before, the most important achievement Maye can earn this year is making the Pro Bowl on the first ballot, as it adds ~$10M to his fifth-year option.
