Hall has a fumbling problem too.

2024 - 6 fumbles. Rahm won and had 7.
2025 - 3 fumbles each for Hall and Rahm.

I'm hoping for a Power RB via the draft to compliment Henderson's speed.

Didn't even realize that. Scratch Hall.

Ball security can be even more important than dazzling talent.

RB will be a need this off-season when they cut Rham loose. Look for them to steal Breece Hall away from the Jets.
Agree completely. It's also the best value in free agency. The Eagle got Saquon Barkley $3 years /37.5) for a fraction of what Tennessee paid for Calvin Ridley (4 years/$90). And it's safe to say that the top running backs will continue to get far less than the top WR deals. It's also safe to say that Hall wants out of New Jersey, and that Vrabel and Co. have made New England a desirable destination fir free agents. The players all know each other and they definitely talk to each other in the offseason, you can bet that there will be Patriot players telling Hall to come to New England, that he will love it here.

They need to at least sign a veteran during the off season to compliment what they have.

Gibson was a good third wheel this year.

Perhaps they go for broke and sign a B Hall while Stephenson becomes less involved.

Jennings to IR makes the most sense now.
Javonte Williams will be the guy who sees the big bucks at RB this off-season. That is, of course, if Dallas can't get him re-signed.

Teams will definitely look at Hall's fumbling issues. Is it because he's trying to do too much and teams are taking advantage of his unwillingness to go down? Or does he have an issue keeping the ball secure?

Guys the Pats could look at to replace Gibson if they look at Free Agency:
Kenneth Gainwell
Rachaad White
J.K Dobbins

It wouldn't surprise me to see the Pats look at a late round RB who could be a short-yardage specialist, but also a good receiver.

How Lan Larison does with his injury will also determine what the Pats do.

White might be a good acquisition. #1 RB now #2 still productive, coming from a decent organization. Dobbins might over value himself.

Rham isn't getting cut this off season. His cap his is 7.6M for 2026. His dead cap is 8M if cut. So it would cost more to cut him than keep him. He is not a locker room distraction. And While i don't love the player and believe we over paid him, assuming he doesn't fumble the ball, he is pretty good and worth an NFL roster spot for any team. Any trade would be bad too as we will get stuck eating a lot of the cap.

We could maybe trade him for a 7th just to get him off the books if a team is willing to eat his contract as is. If that is even allowed? But i don't think any team be willing to do that. He simply is not worth the contract. So the more we eat the higher the pick, which probably maxes out as a 5th if we eat all of it. Just a guess?

But i think no trade happens, we suck it up one more year and in 2027 when he is due 9.6M we cut him and take the 3.2M hit.
While he has lost some of the juice he once had, he has oddly evolved into a pretty solid 3rd down back. He has developed incredibly soft hands and is an excellent pass blocker. He could serve many more years on the roster as a passing back.

His blitz pickup is very solid. Easy to miss that.

Good. He’s better than Jennings.

Rahm does have great hands which is so puzzling on why he isnt more involved in the passing game.

83% catch rate, but just 24 targets through 10 games.

They need a goal line back.

I see Henderson becoming a better version of this player.

I don’t think Hendo and Rham are really very similar players. Trey Hey does not have the raw power of a Rham. He’s more elusive and explosive, faster. Rham is also bigger, more massive, 20 pounds heavier and only an inch taller. For comparison Barkley is even more massive, same height as Rham and carries 13 pounds more muscle. I agree it would be nice to have the irresistible goal line back, I’m just skeptical it’s Henderson.

Everyone seems to have acquired a nickname. Hendo, Rham, Trey Hey and countless others. It’s too much.

You don't think they Franchise Him??

I have no idea, i haven't looked at their free agent list, but most of the reports were that he wanted out, and that he was on the trade block, but that they were asking too much for him.

Totally forgot about that at the end of the Trade Deadline...did hear something along those lines.

They likely will…
Jets are in a complete tear down rebuild. They traded their two best defensive players and now you think they will overpay for 1 year for a RB while tearing everything down? Seems unlikely to me.
