Something doesn't seem right with that stat. All of the other players listed besides Williams have at least 6 sacks. Barmore has only 1. I've observed the exact opposite think he's been getting stonewalled this season. You can't have all those pressures and only have 1 sack.

Jack Westover?? Those Jake Bequette pictures have run their course enough is enough. That said: I have no doubt that E Chism would make our PS: but I feel like others are more expendable.

I hope it's not Dippre, though I fear that's exactly who it will be

Have not analyzed every game but I do remember 1 game I watched him on tape where I thought he could have had 5 sacks.
He tends to get pressure but either can't make a tackle or, more often, the QB can just move away from his pressure.
I think he's not been as good as I hoped he'd be, but I can also believe his pressure number are high. Patiently waiting for that breakout sack game for him.

run stop success?

since week 9

Falcons- 71 rush yards. Bijan Robinson was held to 46 yards

Bucs- 113 rush yards, 65 yards came on 2 drives, which there were 2 WR runs that totaled 22 yards

Jets- 140 rush yards, 56 yards came on the 1st drive of the game, 35 yards came on their last 2 drives when we were up 2 scores. 49 yards allowed on other drives

Bengals- 120 yards, Allowed 76 in the 1st half, 1/4 of the yards came on a 21 yard run at the end of the half when the defense was guarding against the pass with 18 seconds left. Tonga had gone out early in the 1st

Giants- 111 yards, 71 yards allowed in the 2nd half up 2-3 scores the whole half, 58 yards of those 71 came on 1 drive at the end of the 3rd when we had started rotating guys and playing vanilla.

I mean run defense hasn't been as good as it was the 1st half of the year but basically 2 games of this was without Williams and Tonga. But this "run success rate" doesn't at all take into game context. Tonga looks like he'll be back for this one

Interesting that she mentions our run defense but ignores bills run defense which has allowed 238, 189, 210, 197 and 202 in games this year

People really haven't been interrogating this run defense criticism narrative, it's not as bad nor as consequential as ever implied.

He played vs the Pats in their first meeting and he was a non-factor and he was healthier then.

Well, in those terms he should be even less than a non-factor so he might as well not even suit up.

I was just thinking as I went through the last few pages to get caught up on this thread. When it comes down to it, it ISN'T what has to 7happen to WIN the game; it what has to happen not to LOSE it. In the end isn't that how who wins the game is determined. It's about which team DOESN'T turn the ball over. Who DOESN'T commit the critical penalty. Which team has the fewest number of holding or personal foul calls, because those are usually drive killers.

In the end these are 2 good teams with certain strengths and weaknesses. Both sides WILL make big plays on each other and score. But we can talk all day about strategy and player performance on both sides of the ball and god knows I sure have over the course of this week. But deep in our hearts we know as we sit down for this game, it will end being the team who DOESN'T lose will ultimately win the game. It sounds odd when you say it, but in the long run, it's what happens.

So will Jennings get put on IR or put on waivers to try to sneak back to PS? It's too bad, he had some good size and punch in the middle. Johnson is not big and Rham is horrible at short yardage.
You can't waive a person who has an injury of any sort during the regular season. They have to be IRed and then given an injury settlement. You know this.

Jack Westover?? Those Jake Bequette pictures have run their course enough is enough. That said: I have no doubt that E Chism would make our PS: but I feel like others are more expendable.
That's because you don't know jack about the game.

You have no idea what the Stat means. Which is why you think that Barmore's been getting stonewalled this season. You're another one who still doesn't have a clue despite being on the board for years and having guys like @patfanken and @KCSVEN explain things to you as simplistically as possible.

If this doesn't move the line a point, there's still plenty of sucker money coming in on Buffalo
It seems contrived. The way they sure it was captured and his limping. Not buying it.

Which game was that? He most likely was in contain, especially if it was against a mobile QB.

Everyone loves a sack or the aggressive pursuit of a sack, but the downside to that is more often than not, an aggressive lineman will end up overpursuing and take himself out of the play as a result, or get rode out by an OL. When an aggressive lineman goes in, he leaves a lane open.

BB generally preferred his DL to contain and tie up the OL to allow the more mobile linebackers to come through or fill in the holes to make plays.

Perfect from the perspective that the analysis covers our next two opponents. Also, Cosell isn’t “ripping” Beane; just providing an honest assessment.

Spot on.

The Bengals offense converted 10 of 12 on 3rd downs - 83% That's crazy.
Burrow torched Buffalo and passed for a 69% completion rate and 4 TDs. Maye is passing at a 71% completion rate.
Burrow was sacked 1 time.

I have 100% confidence in McDaniel's in this game. We saw how well he was prepared for the Browns when they were winning at the LOS.

Pats have to able to run the ball.
