Drake Maye Thread (Bills Forum)

I can't hate on Buffalo, and I know its fun to clown because they lost 4 consecutive SBs. Its still very impressive that they made it to 4 consecutive SBs. It does make me feel good though that they did not win any of those

Must really suck to be a Bills fan.
First they had to endure four super-losses.

Then after waiting for two decades for the Belichick-Brady dynasty to finally go away, they overlooked KC.
And then when the Chiefs finaly fall back to the rest of the pack, while they focused on KC the Pats pass them again.

And let's not forget the greatest player in their franchise history was the original RLKAG.

That's inhumane torture on a fan base.
Perhaps it explains their infatuation with bildos and celebration of pre-game self-inflicted harm.

I can't feel any animosity for Bills fans, they've endured a lot and their glory days are also punch lines. Now they have something bad coming up on the horizon... Allen has about 5-6 years left, many of them won't be able to afford to see games in their new stadium, which means that these next 8-10 years might be the last of the NFL in Buffalo. When Allen is no longer Allen, or retires, they're going to be a loser with a half empty stadium in the NFL's 2nd smallest market, with an old owner. I can see the Bills getting sold and moving to a big market in less than 10 years.
In short, their good ol days are right now.

Its just strange to me. We don't dedicate a thread to Allen and compare him to our qb. I think Allen is great and better at some things than Maye and vice versa. Clearly the Pats and Maye are living rent free in their heads. Perhaps some more WWE table shenanigans will help with that.

I mean, don't you think the Bills have a reason to be pained at how good Maye and the Pats look this year?

They had roughly 20 years of Brady crushing their dreams ffs...

Plus Allen is easy to root for. Seems like a good guy, tough player on the field, not overly-whiny, doesn't feel like the refs bail him out at every opportunity like Mahomes...

Now that's what I call some delicious fan bitterness right there.

hmmmm. interesting thought. Hadnt thought more than (it always was ... so Jills will always be there).

If they WERE SOLD.... what "big market" city do you think they could go to?
& how would that affect AFCE? ... would they have to bring the Dolts back in (as the most likely new city would be in South)?

Here is the top 20 N. American Metro areas:

What city doesnt have a team? mostly NOT US cities.... but that would play into GoToHell's international agenda.

Mexico City; Toronto; SD; Monterrey MEX, Guadalajara MEX; Riverside, CA; Montreal; ... or maybe Portland (not officially in top 20, .. 2.5-3.3M pop)?

Toronto would be best choice to keep the AFCE affiliation going; but i'm not sure if NFL and CFL have an unspoken non-compete clause.

I could be completely wrong, but I feel like people who don't hate them have only ever seen them on TV broadcasts, so to them I say try looking online on reddit, these forums posted above, etc and see how you feel about them.

Also, when I say hate let me be clear, I'm talking strictly in football fandom terms. I wish them no actual harm beyond misery on the football field. Same as I feel for the Giants.

You suggest that exposure only through TV is too narrow for a realistic evaluation (sure, makes sense) and then go on to suggest that online forums are legitimately representational of the fanbase overall?

My lady friend is from the Buffalo area. I don't have anything against that fan base. They are like long suffering Red Sox fans prior to '04. I'd love to see that tailgate experience first hand.

If the Pats were what we thought they would be, a plucky 8-9 team on the rise, I'd be rooting for Allen and that franchise to get a Super Bowl win this year, before their Orchard Park soul is sucked away by their fancy new stadium.

I agree, Allen has a good attitude and has worked hard to overcome his early mistakes. While still great, it seems as if he has lost a little speed and is no longer the same threat running the ball. While devastating at his physical peak his running style is starting to take its toll, he needs to adjust his approach to stay at the top of QBs long term. I hope Maye views this as a cautionary tale and minimizes the need for Maye to take unnecessary punishment to extend his career. The good news is that it is easier to coach someone to be more careful than try to make a timid player more aggressive.

**** that, Allen is an arrogant **** who takes the greatest of pleasure in thrashing the NE Patriots.

Cant blame the Bills Fans to be a little jealous: they have experienced the outcome of a Great QB on the New England Patriots. The last movie had over 20 seasons.

Nah, Pats fans would never behave like that...

I said Allen.....You link Mahomes

Then they should be use to the status quo and accept that this is just simply how it is

Didn't they try to be half of Toronto's team for a while and Toronto was like, "We're good."?

The bills board has this gem:

Funny to see they have a thread about Drake (insecure?). More jilldos have started to acknowledge that he is in fact good qb and see him as a problem in the division. Others continue with things like who have they beat? For starters the jills! Others are like but but he is not better than 2020-2024 Allen. Well how about this genius take 2020-2024 Allen is not better than 2007 Brady, in fact no one is. Living in the glory days? Oh thats right never won a SB so there are no glory days!

I remember before the first game this season they claimed it would be our SB when we played them. Still feel that way? Looking up at us for round two.

Oh and I see you PatsFanNH over there talking with the jilldos. You dont hang out with the monkeys in the zoo unless you like poo being flung on you.

Fact! Drake Maye and the Pats offense have faced five of the top ten passing defenses (by yardage) in the NFL: Jills, Browns, Saints, Falcons, Jets.
