Clinching scenarios discussion

How do we feel about a hat and t-shirt game?

I can't put into words how badly I want to win this game. I'll settle for the division, but I'd rather not back into it. I want the Bills and their table smashing moron fans to witness the end of their window at our hand.

I've got a special video clip in mind to celebrate it if it happens.

It’s just checking off box after box.

Last night was pretty much the playoff clincher. Ran the numbers and we’d still be at 98% odds to be in, even if we lost out.

Next game vs. Buffalo can clinch the divison. Simplest way to do it is to win the game. Otherwise, next options are to win out from there, or go 2-1 with the Bills dropping a game, 1-2, Bills drop 2, etc.

1 seed after that is going to be the tough one. We do not control our own destiny until Denver loses a game. Fortunately, they have a tough schedule down the stretch after next week. I feel like getting to 14-3 should be enough to get the 1 seed, maybe 13-4 as well. If Denver starts to lose a few games.

Yeah, looking at the schedules for Us, the Donks and the Dolts I think we should be the favorites for the #1 seed. Obviously anything can happen, but gun to my head and I have to get it right I'd pick us to win it.

Denver will drop at least one game.

Denver will drop at least one game.
After the Raiders (who gave them trouble in their first matchup) Denver has a brutal stretch of games! I can see them losing at least 2 or 3 of those games TBH

I want to see them miss the playoffs entirely, after losing both games to the Patriots. Make it inescapably obvious their window is closed, with no chance for a fluke playoff run.

I’ll even root for the Jets to drive a stake through their heart in the last game of the season. Close them out completely.

Trust me, it's not worth it. Either way you end up feeling unclean. Just root against the Billdos.

Fighting for the Bye; ................we very likely lose out on all the tie-breakers** to Denver.

So we really need NE to win out or drop no more than 1 & Donkeys to take at least one loss if not two. Those last two DEN games: Queefs & SupaChahgers wont be easy for them. One could always wish on remote chance for the Faiders to show up one week. That would be best.

**Snipped a couple items and put the notes alongside just to make it plain. There is a little wiggle room in what could happen w/ Conference record; but once past that.......
If we tied w/ Denver at Overall & Conf: They almost certainly win Common opponents & in remote chance that CO ties (loss to Faiders, but we still at a tied conf record), they would have us on Strength of Schedule.

Is there anyway that we can clinch a playoff spot this weekend if certain teams lose ?

The Pats lost to the Raiders and the Broncos beat them game # 1.

I wonder what that 2% path to miss the playoffs would be. Losing out plus every team behind them winning out or tying?

I expect to lose a couple, please don't let one be tonight.
I keep saying to myself the same thing.. that they are going to drop one here or there.. but they keep on winning.. Hopefully it continues and we head into the postseason the top seed.

In my brain I have them going 2-2 from here on out. It was actually the bone-headed mistakes and missed opportunities against the Steelers this year that drove me nuts.

So, I feel 13-4 is doable. I know I am weird but I think Cincy and Philly are going to be a problem for Buffalo. That should get them the division and a home game. Going into this year I would be very happy with this result but I cant help but be a bit greedy. That is a good locker-room and a good coach. They play for each other and their coach. The chemistry is growing but overcoming a bit of adversity in these last 4 games will have some value in the postseason if they choose to learn from it.

We are in a good spot right now with this team. A good qb and a great young wideout group, a good coach. The arrow is pointing up. The wife gave up on them after Brady left but this here guy is a lifer man. Lots of reasons to be optimistic!

If anyone told me I’d be rooting for KC on Christmas I’d have taken them to the mental institution.

I just ran the playoff machine and had them lose out. That made them the 7 seed. If they dropped the Bills and Ravens and beat the Jets and Fins, I still had them as the #1. I did not have Denver winning out, and at one point I had the Texans as a #1 seed. A lot of the convoluted scenarios we can concoct will have to play out in reality.

Crazy to be discussing the #1 seed not even a full season removed a 4 win season.
