I always found her to be a dummy and not fit for the role of moderator, but I never bothered saying anything because who cares, really?

Oh, now I remember whom you are talking about. I remember trying to be nice to her out of some misguided chivalric impulse or something, but eventually her termageant ways wore me down. She was officious, powertrippy. She's probably waving a roadside placard as we speak, enoying a collective hot flash, out of a deep-seated fear of monarchy.

I really just wanted to use the word "termagant." I think I first saw it in "Rip Van Winkle" by Washington Irving.

I still wonder what it was that Ashley did to force Ian to give her the boot. Must have been really ****ty. She seemed like a great girl but I don't think she should have been a mod. Didn't have the temperament. It's not for everyone. I was a mod once and learned it wasn't for me either.

I was on the receiving end a few times. She abused her mod powers. Anyone who disagreed with anything she said got thread banned.

There may have been more, but I straight up stopped coming here for months because of her.

I’ll also add that I’m a member of other forums for different interests. Gen X here. I feel like these boards are getting smaller and smaller as other generations find a different way to connect. I don’t have stats to back that up, but I feel like there used to be a lot more traffic just here. I hate seeing anyone banned, maybe just suspensions? Anyhow, I think message boards are shrinking everywhere, it kinda sucks but I get it.

That’s a fascinating point TN…I hadn’t considered it until you wrote that but I doubt anyone under 30 is on many messageboards at all.

In fairness, Ashley never made that particular accusation, but there was another one she did make that turned out to not be true. While I looked into it, I also came across another revelation that forced me to remove her. Again, it sucks, but that's the story.

If you go to private browsing and google patsfan forum you'll be able to read all his threads. But that being said your not missing much, theres nothing special about them. Theres nothing special. Its mostly criticizing the team or the coaching.

Yeah. I don't think anyone should be banned from GDT unless they're blatantly disrupting it or personally attacking someone. Not for being "negative". The last couple of seasons gave us plenty of material for that.

If she was moderating the GDT's from the last couple of seasons I don't think there would be many posters left in them by the final whistle. Lol

I think she was removed because as a moderator or poster in general you can’t do what she did going to an unnecessary level accusing someone of something that damaging.

It's a shame, because I thought/think both BGC and Ashley have a lot to offer this board.

I disagree, Ashley was a terrible mod who overstepped her bounds and would silence or ban anyone that criticized anything to do with the team that she did not agree with, she did it to me, and many others. You would be designated a troll for petty things such as not believing Mac Jones was an elite player.
