My expectations are Lowe, very Lowe.I expect he will be improved over last year, how much remains to be seen. I think we’re going to be ok.

Yeah he's not good but he's our not good. If Maye is still alive by the time we play Miami again, job done.I said it preseason and I'll echo it again, Lowe gets entirely too much hate and is seen as WAY worse then he actually is. Is he a top 20 LT in the league? Certainly not, he needed to be replaced and Campbell has done that admirably. He also is not a dumpster fire, doesn't belong on the field, our offense is doomed when he does play. That would be Newhouse or Jacobs both of whom give me PTSD hearing their names. Last year there were many times Lowe held up for 2.5 seconds, only to see the QB running his way to get away from the guy Jacobs let by in 1. If Lowe is your worst lineman instead of your best lineman I think he will be able to handle 4 or 5 games without losing too much. Just have to give him the help available instead of it going to everyone else on the line who sucks worse.
1. Maye is aliveLowe is 6'5" and 315 lbs. 35.5 arms. 21 career nfl starts.
seemingly better coached this year.
contract year
I thought he looked fine last week. does he have a 4 game run in him to get another contract?
I say yes
Buff and Balt fighting for their playoff lives will be tough games.1. Maye is alive
2. Lowe doesn't get hurt in the 4+ games
3. We go 2-2 or better
Some fans have to remember just how dysfunctional and despondent the coaching was last season. Vrabel's not going to allow for lowe to play sub parr and get away with it like he did last season.. like the YMCA coaching staff did last year. He's gonna have to man up take the coaching and protect the QB that's his job that is where he's here..Lowe, Jordan/Robinson, Brown, Onwenu, Jacobs was the final line combo last year... funny, he gives up two sacks in the w12 miami game, we have a measley 269 yards of offense, but it is his 4th highest rated game... sometimes i don't understand the pff rating algorithm

with more game experience this year, combined with better coaching, think the line will be adequate... hopefully *knocks wood x3*
Which is why I ignore their "ratings" and focus on the data..Lowe, Jordan/Robinson, Brown, Onwenu, Jacobs was the final line combo last year... funny, he gives up two sacks in the w12 miami game, we have a measley 269 yards of offense, but it is his 4th highest rated game... sometimes i don't understand the pff rating algorithm

yeah, was agreeing with you with too many wordsWhich is why I ignore their "ratings" and focus on the data..
The consensus seems to be part of Lowe’s issues are focus and effort. Some fans have to remember just how dysfunctional and despondent the coaching was last season. Very good points there 6.. even a below average backup LT he could see a nice contract. He wasn't awful Sunday when Campbell went out..but then again Hendrickson wasn't playing either.. we are going to see if he's up to the task against this giants front. If he's up to the challenge and can be steady and solid you're right he stands a great chance to cash in somewhere.. likely safe to say our next back up LT will be in the draft. The consensus seems to be part of Lowe’s issues are focus and effort.
If that will ever get solved for him it really should be now.
He is a free agent this year. Mediocre LTs make a lot of money.
He has 4 games to remake his reputation and there are many teams that will spend a boatload of money on 4 game performance.
Or it was Bryant in last years draft.Very good points there 6.. even a below average backup LT he could see a nice contract. Is Bryant primarily a RT or swing OT?Or it was Bryant in last years draft.

when called on last game, he was awful. so for now, lets say neitherIs Bryant primarily a RT or swing OT?
I wonder if he is tough enough to play through torn labra on both sides.Ain't a "labrum" some kind of lady part?
What gives?
Why not?so... is this the "supposed to make me feel better" story?
Ah well... it is what it is... Suppose i gotta/gonna catch the VD fever and cheer him on for the next 4-6 weeks...
If the Pats part ways with Lowe after this season he WILL be on another team’s roster next year.2024 was played with a torn labrum and no O-line coaching and he IMPROVED over his 2023 playing.
2023: 290 pass blocking snaps - 6 sacks, 3 hits, 29 hurries = 1 pressure allowed every 7.6 snaps
2024: 501 pass blocking snaps - 5 sacks, 5 hits, 23 hurries = 1 pressure every allowed 15.1 snaps
The 15.1 still is BAD, but a huge improvement over 2023.
It's interesting that all the sacks that Lowe allowed in 2024 came AFTER he suffered the Labrum tear against the Jets.
I'm not even expecting Lowe to be Tom Ashworth level, but if he can come close to that, then I think he'll be adequate until Campbell gets back.
