I also think someone being able to log off and read posts of users that have blocked them or even screenshot them so they can "reply" without the blocker ever knowing...that's a problem. If you block, you ought to be done with them full stop.

It's not feasible, but for other reasons. You've probably noticed that there are no ads for registered users, only to lurkers and people who read the board/site casually. Closing the board to be viewed only by registered users would kill what little revenue there is to keep the lights on, and it would be game over.

Ah... makes sense! Yeah you'd have to introduce ads in for registered users and nobody wants that.

I was just thinking of this board... broncosboard.com. It's popular and they don't allow guest access but maybe they have ads for registered users.

Our favorite Bills board at twobillsdrive does open it up to everyone though and I'm glad lol

Then the person creates another account that they never post from just to view posts. Screenshots things from people who have them blocked then posts on their main account using the screenshots. You could do an IP ban but then they use a VPN. Your chasing your tail with this stuff. Its like trying to catch the phone scammers, its almost impossible.

I never blocked anyone once for almost 20 years.

I started realizing I couldn't see things then I started logging out to see it and noticed his stuff perfectly timed up and even responded to mine. LoL

Or maybe bring back the reputation score. With a reputation under a threshold you are limited what you can do, you can't see images or videos, etc.

I hope he gets the help he needs. I've appreciated him as a regular along with many of you, and don't want to see him banned. I want to see him get better. But he has to want that for himself.

I stand by what I said but it may not have been his motive for blocking. It's looking more like simply a meltdown and he went on a blocking spree for no apparent reason.

Ive been watching the steam build for a few weeks until the Monday meltdown like you say.
