I don't get the problem that people are having with this. Shula is absolutely correct. The '72 Dolphins aren't the only team to have an unbeaten regular season, that's been done 4 times now. They are, however, the only team to have an unbeaten regular season and then go undefeated in the playoffs. Unless New England wins the Super Bowl this year, Shula's '72 team will remain the only team to have an undefeated season. New England's 16-0 is historic, because a 16-0 regular season had never been done before. Without the Lombardi, though, this Patriots team still won't be on that same level as the '72 Dolphins.

Agree with you. For this sake, I am now going to double my prayers that we go past 19-0 and well into next season!

1) NTC claims to be a Pats fan.
2) The Pats were NOT caught cheating. Only imbeciles, like yourself, who don't understand that breaking rules doesn't necessarily mean you are cheating. In fact, Roger Goodell stated that the Pats were NOT cheating.
3) The Jets did the same thing last year as well as this year. The Patriots removed their guy from the field without notifying the NFL. The Jets insisted on notifying the NFL.

IF the Patriots win the Super Bowl the '72 Dolphins will have to come to terms with the fact that the Patriots aren't simply joining them as fellow "Perfect Season" members.

The Patriots will have far surpassed the Dolphins accomplishments for many many reasons.

At that point, although Mercury Morris will humiliate himself in protest, we won't be in the same neighborhood as them - we'll be looking at the Dolphins in the rear view mirror.

The Patriots will have accomplished something NO ONE ever has and the '72 Dolphins accomplishment, while significant, will pale in comparison.

you live in Northern California and you are a young kid and you jumped on the Chargers bandwagon the last couple years because they have been more succesful than the 49ers or the Raiders lately.
