I'm more worried they'll put Gunner Olszewski in as QB.

To me, the Bengals game is either going to be a blip of a stinker we had even in the glory years or it's going to start the trend for the last several games, where we just slog it out and can't recapture the effectiveness we had in the earlier games. Obviously, I hope it's a blip but we really won't know until we see how they come out against the Giants.

#1 this is the NFL's official youtube, so there's no copyright issue here. Just wanted to make sure Ian knows I respect the rules. (Except that weird one he has about worshipping his toes...)

Anyway, this is Week 3 vs. the Dolphins in the '08 season. Watch this play, see how the refs call it and try not to not have your blood pressure spike to dangerous levels...

If they call that correctly in the Super Bowl we have a perfect season.

But I'm not still bitter or anything.

So no ABC for MNF now moving forward. Only BSPN. Another concern for this game....

Where to watch since I won't pay for BSPN?

Nuggets play on Monday night too. Will have to watch without sound somewhere in the corner of the bar???
It's not the Broncos, you can just troll from Google updates like usual.

Sorry that triggered you so much. I think most would agree we will need a better effort than we got Sunday moving forth when we’re not playing the Cincinnati Bengals. Its okay to admit that the team is human and probably had their first less than stellar effort since week 3. Im confident they will bounce back
The defense allowed a net 6 points.
We moved the ball up and down the field. We won the game despite a couple of red zone failures that would have made it a blowout.

I’m sorry me not buying into crying about wins triggered you.

Hey. I pay for the ticket. It's shameful that won't get you all the games these days.

Yes we need to bounce back from that devastating win.
You people are freaking crazy.

If the Pats win against the Giants, they will probably need to bounce back from that one, too.

I'm personally ok with bouncing back from messy win to messy win week after week.

This is correct
We’ve given up 260 yards rushing the last 2 games. 120 to Cincy and 5.2 yards a carry to the third worst rushing team in the league. NYG are 9th best rushing offense.
Not sure which QB will play for NYG, but both can be issues. Winston can most certainly give the ball away, but he can also drop 300 yards+ any Sunday.
NYG have a much better front, and our 2 best Olineman and complete left side is out.
There is nothing wrong with being objective, that is not the same as being negative.
I don’t think we win if we play like last Sunday.
Those stats are very misleading. Cincinnati is not the 3rd worst rushing team. They just haven’t run the ball a lot. They are 15 in ypc.

The giants are 9th in yards mostly because of qb runs. Scateboo their #1 rb is out.
The replacements average 3.9 and 3.2 per carry.

We gave up 260 rushing yards the last 2 weeks because those teams couldn’t throw in us.
The defense allowed 14 and 13 points in those games and a net of 10 ppg.
We will beat any team doing that.

The offense moved the ball at will last week and 2 anomoly red zone trips prevented it from being a blowout and made it just a win.

I think the team should just bounce back after every win.

So this week we'll bounce back from the Bengals win.

Next week we'll bounce back from the Giants win after having bounced back from the Bengals win.

The week after we'll bounce back from the bye, after having bounced back from the Giants win, after having bounced back from the Bengals win.

and so on. The object would be to create a harmonic amplitude of bouncing that leads to us winning the East and then the Super Bowl, bouncing Bad Bunny off the stage and into the hearts of millions.

If they win 55-0 they will be subject to overconfidence and a let down and will surely lose the next one.

55-0 would be a let down after the 2009 59-0 Tennessee game. Would definitely need a bounce back.

I remember saying a win is a win in the post game thread and thinking I probably haven’t used that phrase since 2019 or so. Let us hope its the former

Although we're all wary of a "trap game" I'm pretty sure all of the coaches and most of the players know that the Giants are fond of shocking the Pats.

Injuries at this time of year being what they are, this is still a losable game for the Pats.

Let's hope Lowe and Brown, knowing that MNF is as good a time as any to showcase their value as FAs in 2026, put on a good show!

True.

Does he often have two in a row?

I feel like their secondary could be had, so 20+ yard TDs might be in the offing, negating the red zone offense struggles.
I don't know. I think defenses are respecting the deep ball, making it more difficult. Also, needs longer pocket time.

He could, but hes a backup for a reason. They can provide a spark but typically regress to the mean eventually. I think i would much prefer Winston to dart on monday.

I appreciate this post.
You dug into the stats and provided more context which is helpful.
That said I don’t think Cincy ran because they couldn’t throw. They started running and it was effective so they continued with it.
Our run D is susceptible without Williams and Thonga, that is hard to dispute.
I don’t think this game will be a cakewalk.
I don’t care how we win, just if we win.
Giants have a good Dline and we are down our whole left side. I’m sure the Giants will try to exploit that.
Perhaps with better coaching and game planning Love will be serviceable, but that is a big IF imho

I thought this was in NY. Good to know it's at home and on MNF. A win would be great before the bye week and the showdown against Buffalo. I have a feeling the NE-Buffalo game is going to get moved to the 1:25 spot as the NFL probably won't bump Dallas off SNF and NE was just on MNF. However, I think Pats-Ravens are moved to SNF.

Flacco completed barely 50% hus oases for less than 10 yards per completion. They scored 13 offensive points and a net of 6.
They had 120 rushing yards which is about the league average. We average 112 and we had 107 and are ranked 19th. You are talking like we were gashed for 250 yards.

The Giants are a bad football team. They have pathetic defense and a below average offense that will probably be missing their best 3 players.

I don’t know what a cakewalk is. I care about winning the game, not style points.
The giants once in a while hang around before then give the game away. Thats what a bad team is.
You appear to be looking for a team that is 0-12 losing by 50 points each week before you have any confidence in our 10-2 best in the league team.

I fail to understand how people go through life afraid of being good.
