MRI tomorrow according to NBC

Anyone surprised Mike Brown's Bungles don't have one in the building? Anyone...

Cheap??

Whenever you think Kraft is cheap, remember that Mike Brown's players have to wait at a stop light to cross the street to go to work, because he was too cheap to put in a parking lot at the practice facility.

I have to remind myself Mike Brown exists every time I say Kraft is cheap.

Mike Brown isn't the only owner that makes Kraft look like a drunken sailor fresh in port on a Saturday night but he does top the list

How many linemen were injured/hurt today?

They were targeting the line, no doubt about it in my mind... dirty ass mother****ers they are
There wasn't a single dirty play on any of the injuries. We have this game every year, where we lose like 3 guys in one game.

I hope it is an mcl. However, Logan Mankins played with a torn ACL for an entire season.

Any word on severity yet? Grade 1 MCL sprain can be just a few weeks.

My understanding/experience with MCL/ACL injuries (of which ACL is more important) is that it's primarily the side to side strength that is weakened (or non-existent with an ACL tear) - but that the forward/back strength remains, which is of critical importance for a lineman.

Grade 2 would probably be a month

Lateral strength in the knee isn't a non-factor but hopefully it's not a long term issue.

If not surgery you want to make sure the stretched ligament has a chance to heal.

Fingers crossed for you Will

I guess the MRI will determine whether there's a tear. MCL sprain is the best hope I think.

I don't know if a player could get away with what Mankins did back then - even an ACL tear "only" means you have no side to side strength. I lived with a torn ACL for about 15 years and was able to run forward no problem.

I think as a Guard, rather than a tackle, Mankins was in a straight ahead blocking role where as Campbell would need his side to side strength more.

Mankins was incredibly strong and just powered his lineman forward - not sure anyone can compare to him.

Sincere question: Isn’t “no news” good news at this rate? If it were an ACL, wouldn’t they pretty much know already?

They knew before he got to the sideline. The MRI is just to determine severity of whatever it is.
