Well, aren't we smug little assholes laughing at the Bills and Josh Allen. Christ, some of us sound like 8 year olds.

The Bills had to play the best overall D and the best DL in the league without their 2 starting OTs and their OL wasn't that good to begin with. Also playing on the road on Thursday Night might be the most unfair advantage a road team faces all year. Add the 3 turnovers and the missed extra point, and it was amazing that at the end of the game they are on the Texans 15 with a first and 10, down 4. Think about that for a sec.

Well, the division is ours to lose, but all that means really is we are probably going to get ONE home playoff game. That's nice, I guess, but we need to get that BYE. We need the Colts and Denver to lose and lose more than once. I still can't believe there were people who rooted for the Broncos last week. We need to get our priorities straight. We have a great opportunity here.

BTW- after watching this game, think about this. Come April, we are on the clock in the first and there is a very exciting WR and a very promising edge rusher available, who do you pick.

The answer is Edge of course. A great 4 man pass rush can render the best of QB's merely human. We saw it tonight and in the last superbowl. We lucked out on Maye and have a QB who can elevate a receiver corps. Our #1 priority should be to improve our pass rush so it becomes a top 5 group. It won't be easy, since what I'm saying isn't exactly a state secret. But the effort needs to be made.

They're not good anymore, Ken. It's 2025. Not 2022.

Just because it’s funny to think about - there’s a world in which the Bills go 3-2 in the next 5 games, the Dolphins go 5-0 in the next 5 games, and then in week 18 the Patriots rest their starters against Miami and it pushes Miami into the 7 seed over Buffalo due to better division record.

Of course u take the edge, that's our biggest need.
You saw the reports of Wolf saying he wasn't giving up 3 first round picks for player X. I wonder if that was Myles G, who else in the league that we would've been interested in would command anything close to that?

I do not play for the Patriots. And as a fan I can be as arrogant and as selfish as I want regarding celebrating the miserable failure of other teams and players that I don't like.

And we still get to keep Campbell too.

Ken, I normally endorse most of what you have to offer, but PLEASE be tolerant of "in-the-moment assholery," childish as it may be. OF COURSE there still are many shoes yet to drop in this season and nothing can be taken for granted. But after more than two years of bad football and bad vibes around these parts, celebrating events as they unfold and letting off a little steam shouldn't be considered scold-worthy. We'll all be brought back down to earth soon enough.

Is Buffalo in a situation where they need to run the table? It's getting close.

Bills have to run the table, and hope the Patriots lose three times to win the division. A better chance at the wildcard, although the Jaguars are only a half game back of them now, and Houston's a game back with the tiebreaker (and Stroud coming back soon, I'd imagine).

Bills are also 1-3 on the road, their only win is against Carolina.

Imagine beating the Bills again and clinching the freakin division in Week 15 with three weeks left. Then it’s just jockeying for position in seeding with Denver and Indy. And if the top seed falls too far out of reach then you end up being able to rest guys in the final week, or even final two weeks, depending on the math. Not that I think Vrabel would rest guys for two weeks, but just saying.
I want a scenario where DEN doesn't need to play starters in week 18. they play LAC that week and could tank the game to potentially keep KC out of the playoffs

Not close at all. A 10-7 record = A 85% chance of making the playoffs. This isn’t 2008 when the Pats were left on the outside with a 11-5 record. 7 teams make it per conference.

The Bills have six games remaining to do at worst .500 and they will have a 85% chance of making the playoffs. So,
Not run the table time until they pick
Up loss #6, IMO.

I'm trying to run the numbers. Is there some weird universe were Allen, Jackson and Mahomes are all out?

Pointing and laughing at the Bills crapping their pants from atop our thrones far above them in the division and conference standings. Man, really feels like old times.

I'd chastise you for not being a more-graceful winner but then I remembered that there are preschoolers who never saw the Pats win a championship and well, after a drought this extreme a little gloating is in order.

Definitely - if the Bills slide a bit more and fall behind Houston in the wild card race, and KC doesn’t make a run to really get back into the wild card standings, and if Baltimore doesn’t make the expected push to take the AFC North away from Pittsburgh, they’d all be out

Bills are in gear to fulfill their 11-7 season, falling in trend with the alternating 13-4/11-7 seasons of the past few years. I figured their toss up loss would be the Texans. They'll be playing the Patriots as hard as possible but I still think they lose at least against us and the Eagles.
