Williams is not getting the offense.

He turned the wrong way on a sideline pass and then stopped on a route. That's why we have not seen more of him.

Yes, but it looked like McDaniels (by play design) or Drake (by his reads) intentionally tried to throw to him a LOT yesterday (still today for me).

I wonder if they viewed the Jesters as such easy prey that they could try and treat it like a pre-season game for Williams-alone in order to try to get him to learn his routes and get better acclimated. If so; I would say GOOD TRY. BUT, you are working with one THICK NUMBSKULL. Way too many different options taken from what Maye expected and NOT ENOUGH EFFORT even when he did run right route but defenders were close.

I truly thought the people on here who were talking up this team to the level they were this summer : they were just homers. I did not see this coming at all.

9-2 ? I’d have singed up for 7-4 in a heartbeat. And even that seemed like a pipe dream to me. After the second loss ? Hell, I’d have have taken 6-5 at that point for sure.

What an amazing collection of coaches and players (via draft, holdivers and FA) they’ve been able to put together.

I get I'm probably wrong but I've never understood the fear (not the right word but it's 5am) of Burrows. He's like Tomlins Steelers in human form. Good but always some reason he doesn't make it. Like a lesser talent Marino.

Brady was the same. If he had no confidence in you, he wouldn't even look at you.

I don't think the issue is catching the ball but running the correct route and timing in the concept that was dialed up, and being on the same page as Maye as to recognizing what the defense is giving you. Some players catch on quickly, some don't. I think it really depends on what level their abstract intelligence is at.

I'm a frequent TC visitor and I saw a good team but who could see this. This is something else.

8 of 11 in the 4th??? WTF??? It's clear defensive coordinators have figured Maye out, they probably won't win another game all season. It was fun while it lasted but that's simply not good enough. If Maye was the superstar everyone says he is the would have 14 wins by now
