Def don’t want to take the Jets lightly. Look what Miami just did.
Yep the Jets have won two in row. I’m sure the team will be told that several times this week,

First things first. F the Bucs. Good hard fought win. The fast rookies had their day.

I don't miss Rham's running but the loss of his pass protection is felt. Maye is not the league MVP without Boutte in the lineup. I rescinded my vote when he threw that horrible red zone int. Unacceptable.
You are wrong and no one cares about your vote.

The Jets, who beat Cleveland 27-20 earlier today, are up next on Thurs night.
I'm not worried about the Jets.

Let's talk about this slugfest of a win over the Buccaneers first! Outside of Buffalo this was our toughest opponent yet and it lived up to the hype.

It was a back and forth game with the Bucs drawing first blood. But eventually we got the score sequences to go ahead.

The positives are some great performances by our rookies. Kyle Williams 72 yard TD was our longest score of the season and a breakout score for the young WR.

Next let's talk about Henderson who finally showed why we drafted him so early. He TORCHED this vaunted Bucs run defense with two huge TD runs on the ground. The 55 yarder was a thing of beauty but so was his final TD run for 69 yards! Nice!

Ok the ugly was that Maye was off early and his pick in the endzone late in the 4th was truly an awful decision.

Our defense was yet again soft and gave up a TD early. But when it counted and the game was on the line they held on all 4 downs with us clinging to just a 5 point lead.

This allowed us the opportunity for Henderson to pull off his magic with the aforementioned 69 yard TD. Interesting to note he was so far ahead of the defense he had the time to ask the sideline if he should score or just go down at the goal line.

That all added up to a clutch and very tough 28-23 road win to go to 8-2. Now the cherry on top of this day's performance is that the Dolphins have upset the Bills 30-13 which puts the Patriots in SOLE possession of the division lead.

This was a wonderful win but obviously there's still a LOT to clean up. It's far better to celebrate a skin of our teeth win though, then a close loss so I'll take it. Also the Patriots haters are going lose their minds when they see we won yet again. We are SO BACK BABY!!

That was a statement win. The Bucs are a damned good team with a good defense and dangerous offense, held Maye to 51.6 completion %. The explosiveness from the rookies finally showed up. That was a tough game, that’s a really good team.

Going through the schedule, I felt this was gonna be a loss. But man was I wrong. Add in this fact, they have 8 wins now, they are 8-2, they were 8-26 the prior two years combined. Everyone deserves credit for the turnaround, the players, the coaching staff, but especially Vrabel, and McDaniels for turning around the offense and helping Maye progress so fast. And Maye deserves a ton of credit for progressing to a Pro Bowl level QB.

I’m just amazed by this team. I predicted 8 wins for the Pats this year, which I thought would’ve been a nice progression for a coach in his first year with the team, a fine improvement, but they have gone way past my expectations. This is a team playing with a ton of confidence, they believe in themselves AND Vrabel.

overall i think mcdaniels is an excellent OC, but there are times like the last third of the game where i just don't understand his play calling. Tampex had scored and gained confidence and momentum, we needed to answer. But josh kept running to the left side over and over again, and tampa kept stuffing the run over and over again. At one point near the end i thought we were going to lose.

It worked in the end though.

After Tampa scored we actually threw 2x and ran 1x on the next series that ended with Hollins not getting first down.

BUT it's hard to argue when it was Henderson's run that broke the game open.

I get what you're saying but they did pass right after the Tampa score.

This game is the stamp that we should be considered the best team in the NFL at this point
If we had a one better pass rusher or RB, id agree. But maybe we are close to it.

I wonder with our lack of experience overall, how we are going to fare in the play offs (But it's nice to be thinking playoffs already)

No team is perfect.

Maye was okay, not great. The defense was great. McDaniels 4th quarter playcalling wasn't great. 8-2 and a win is a win.

Campbell - starting LT
Wilson - starting LG
Henderson - 100+ yards, 2 TDs
Williams - 72 yard TD
Woodson - multiple big hits, good deep coverage
Farmer - rotational DT
Ponder - sack vs. Wirfs
Borregales/Ashby - special teams

That is one of biggest performances from a pats rookie class in a long time.
