NFL Trade Deadline Discourse

No team overestimates their chances better than the Cowboys.
I say this not meaning to be funny or mean but I think Jerry knows he doesnt have many years ahead of him and wants to see it one more time before he rides off in the sunset at the cost of not caring but so much about the future that he may or may not be involved in.

Yep. Biggest sellers in the league just happened to be 2 division rivals and our HC's bitter ex.

Tough to buy big like that.

On the bright side, it's not like the unused assets go to waste--- the extra 6ths we have can be used to move up in day 2 of the draft, for example.

Amy Adam’s Strunk must be the Nancy Mace of NFL owners.

Been in the league for four years and averages about 400 yards a year. Not sure he deserves the playmaker label...
Seahawks have a Pro Bowl caliber QB. Great trade for the Seahawks, who already have some good weapons.

It's malpractice to not take the best offer. I don't believe for a second the Patriots had better offers but we're rejected or held hostage by their division status.

He only wants to win if he gets the credit.

Maybe. I always got the sense that he was smart enough to not be terrible at GM-ing, but not smart enough to realize there's a lot of room between that and actually being good at it.

They're in a division against one of the best teams in the league and have already lost to two other wild card contenders in the NFC but for some reason they decided to be big time buyers. The only one more delusional than their fans is that hillbilly owner.

He should have just kept Jimmy Johnson, but then Jerruh wouldn’t get the credit he craves.

Some people would rather burn it all down so they can rule over the ashes.

Still an hour to go. But starting to get the vibes we’re gonna sit on our hands for this deadline.

I’d rather do that than pay the insane prices we are hearing.

The Jaguars traded two firsts last year to the Browns and now their 4th and 6th.

The Colts traded two 1sts and a recent 2nd round pick.

I’d rather do what the Pats are doing.

Not complaining, to be clear. I also don’t want to do what those teams are doing.

But I think some cheap depth reinforcements would be nice. Is what it is if they don’t find the right trade, though.

Yep. I'd rather them build a perennial contender than go all in on year one of a good rebuild.

I dont think they are going to add anyone but I dont think they are sitting on their hands. You know they reached out about some players but we have to assume they arent going to agree to something thats not reasonable and slow down the potential growth for next season for a player today. Thanks to the Dolts and Jerruh every team looking to let players walk thinks they should get a kings ransom.

They’ll probably do something small. Can’t see them making a blockbuster move but who knows
