Tampa is minus thier best players in Godwin and Evans. Even is Godwin does play he's not the same player.

London was held in check for most of the game. His TDs were on 5ft Marcus and 20M a year CB Davis.

The 50/50 ball gonzo had great coverage London was fortunate to come down with it.

I will continue to say this. The zone coverages aren't helping the secondary. It reminds me of the Patricia defenses.

Gonzo, Surtain the 2nd, and Stingley Jr. Are the 3 best man CBs in the game.

They didn't become all pros for thier zone coverage abilities.

The difference here between the 2021 season with the post bye week meltdown is the QB and coaching won't allow for that to happen.
Godwin is constantly hurt and Evans is old.

Mayfield is good enough to make any WR look great.

Falcon fans want the HC and GM fired prior to yesterdays game.

What? All I saw was a team that's loaded with talent and no quit. As the game went on the Falcons got stronger and more confident that they could shutdown Maye. London is almost unstoppable and even when Gonzo had textbook coverage London came down with the ball. Robinson is one hell of a WR. Falcons D is too legit to quit.

The Pats Dynasty is not back. Come down from the roof before its too late. NE is winning many of these games due to the other team beating themselves - Penix intentional grounding, hit the post on the PAT, leaving Henry not covered to close out the game.

Tampa wont make those same blunders and the Pats will lose if they don't bring the A game.
They are better than their record, i don't care what Parcells says

I’m not opposed to adding anything you just can’t be stupid and give away a ton of resources for someone who won’t improve the team much
What's your take on Thibiduaux?

Maye is an mvp candidate. The defense is top 5 in points allowed.
What teams do you think are SB ready. Did you think the 2001 patriots were SB ready at 5-4?
I’ll trust the scoreboard over your negativity and fear of success.

This.

The 2001 Pats were nobodies through 9 games, then "pretenders" right up until Adam V's SB-winning FG.

No team is SB ready. 1 will win it.

The Pats should not make any moves purely for the short term, but their window is fully open, and they would be foolish to ignore that.

Well said.

long term trade ideas are the only logical moves. A proven edge rusher like Thibiduaux I've really honed in on would be perfect. Also have to take full advantage of this while Drake is on his rookie deal..

I started a thread about trading for Thibodeaux a month ago. Giants supposedly asking a 1st. I'd do it for a 3rd, or for a 2nd with a 4th or 5th back.

Love his game, young, proven and would be here for the long haul. Agreed there. 3rd and one those 6ths or 7ths we got for white & Dugger... should he become available.

Be nice if Cowden could sweet talk Shceien for him...

While I respect fans feeling differently, I'm seeing a decent amount of the pats aren't ready, this isn't their time, etc. posts. The pats are a good not great team from a roster perspective. So is everyone else in the AFC:

broncos - Nix, mediocre weapons
chargers - injuries, lack high end talent
ravens - injuries, bottom 5 DL
colts - daniel jones

The bills have zero all-pros on their roster, their best defensive player is on IR & they have the worst outside WRs in the NFL. The engine of their offense is the run game as they run it more than they pass. That plays into the pats hands and they already held them to 20 points at buffalo. Chaisson didn't play either.

First ballot HOF chris jones is not the same player this year. The chiefs defense is slow at the second level. Offensively, they are heavily reliant on rice & kelce. I would expect them to put davis on kelce & treat him like a WR. The pats could beat them especially if they can get the chiefs defense at home.

I don't think people realize that while the pats might not have a superbowl contending roster it's close to the rest of the contenders in the AFC. Homefield could be the difference & their win total is currently o11.5 -150 in vegas. Their superbowl window is open right now.

I am scared of Vita Vea though, that's a terrible matchup for us.
I agree. Hopefully they can practice the double team all week.

Bradbury 1-on-1 with Vita Vea would be a disaster.

A bad game compared to being the best performing QB in the NFL is not a bad game. He complete 66% of his passes for 9 yards per attempt and 2 TDs and won.
He also had a game changing fumble where he was careless with the football and almost lost another fumble. Plus an Int and in the second half some noticable bad misses. That 66% is almost 10% worse then what he has been doing. It's not crazy to say he had a bad game, he did. The best part of Maye is even having a bad game we still won. Not that the pass was particularly difficult but it's good to see the coaching staff has faith in him to put the game away and seal the win even when he's been having a rough day.

Bradbury/Onwenu double-team on Vea would be a disaster.

I'd be surprised if the Patriots did very much straight dropback, pocket stuff, or runs up the middle. Expect a lot of rollouts, perimeter runs - at least until they can get Vea running around for 20-25 plays. He's a big fella, he gets tired if you run him.

The fumble happened with 30 seconds left in the half, not over a minute.

FWIW, the crowd around me was going crazy when they went for it there. Quite a few were yelling, "What the hell are they doing" or yelling "Take a knee".
The drive started with roughly 1:20 left in the half at our 30. We had gotten to midfield with over 40 seconds left. Why would we take a knee at that point where we are 15 more yards away from a FG attempt?
