The fact they got something for them is a bonus. Otherwise, they would have had to just cut them for nothing. And with the Pats likely to make moves in free agency next year, they would not get compensatory picks for either guy.

A guy who played 100% of the snaps recently and has no viable player to take his place is not dead weight.

Dugger only played because of injuries. Not because he earned the starting job. They can probably get the same production out of someone else available. I am sure they made these trades with the intention of making more trades.

If the answer is Pettus or grant, then yes that appears to be exactly what he did.

Timing might be Vrabel out Duggar in the dog house and despite having no one to fill his S3 role, Pittsburgh had an injury and made an offer.
Perhaps he thinks Richie freaking Grant is the answer, but I am not confident he is right about that.
Duggar played a lot of good football here when healthy.

Why do u always have to do that.
I never said he's always right, I said I will defer. Which means I will see what he does to add after the departures.
If he does nothing I will question it.
If he adds better players we will all like it.
If he calls up guys that effectively take their spots while adding 2 6ths we will all like it.
Thus why I said I will defer.

I don’t know. I’ll adjust my opinion if they do but as of now we are weaker.
Hoping we find someone who can replace a long time starter is shaky.

I saw this on Twitter a bit ago and I am not sure how to feel about it. I like Addison but am not sure he would move the needle much because we are already pretty efficient and explosive on offense.
