Was thinking about buying all the SI covers this year and doing something with them all, but was somewhat aghast when I found out they were $19.95 ea. so will have to pursue another venue. Found it interesting that #12 has now been on the cover 11 times in his career.

Who's been on the most? Michael Jordan? Lately with the Patriots (and the Red Sox), the SI cover jinx has been dormant. Hope I haven't jinxed them.

Jordan has the most. I think he has close to 50 or so.

Recently I read Jordan was tied with Brady in SI covers. Now, wouldn't the next issue HAVE TO feature the Pats? I am thinking Brady and Moss cover.

#12 gets #12!?!?!?!?!?

Wikipedia says the most SI cover appearances (thru 2003) are:

1. Jordan 49
2. Muhammed Ali 37
3. Kareem, 26
4. Magic 22
5. Nicklaus 22

I imagine Tiger is creeping up. Tom has a ways to go. Give him a few years.

He might be the #1 NFL player.

Next issue is next week (jan. 7), so it will most likely be a college bowl winner. My guess would be the National Championship winner or maybe Illinois if they beat USC or Hawaii if they knock off Georgia
