they have to add a RB after this week. Jennings is out of options.
So who gets cut or traded?
I say Afernee Jennings for a low draft choice.
And they bring up Jennings.
I am not sure that T Jennings gets the call to the 53
Keep Jennings. He has had some good runs last year and this year. Then it has to be someone else coming in at RB.
They can't only roster 2 without the Jennings option? Can they???
I think draft is the way to go. Both Stevenson and Gibson are up after 2026, so bringing in a rookie for that season, with Henderson transitioning to a lead-back role, seems like pretty good continuity. And who knows, they'll be able to keep Gibson pretty cheap, maybe he sticks around another couple years.Jennings is probably the guy but I would prefer we trade for a more talented RB. RBs are relatively inexpensive (compared to an edge rusher) and Gibson was underrated. We are well stocked with draft picks and we are going to need to draft one if we don't trade for one.
Think he would get claimed if he got cut? if they think he won't, with a *wink* *wink* *nod* *nod*, they cut him, once he clears waivers, re-sign him... reset the call up meter...I know it's early to think about, and the thread will be buried after game, but...............

4 RB's seem right to be.I think draft is the way to go. We'll see what Vrabel does to get a 3rd RB on the roster for this week's game.

terrell jennings is a practice squad player... cut him then re-sign him to the practice squad... call him up as needed... no need to keep him on the 53Sorry I missed your post. Jennings will be on the roster. (see above).
Who goes?

not if you cut him. He's out of options.
The rubber has met the road.
the wink wink nod nod is just a reference to " we are going to cut you, then re-sign you" ... changes are no one is going to swoop in and sign him... cut him, then re-sign him to the practice squad... we don't need to touch any of the defensive players... we are down a defensive player after Truman went to Tennessee anyways???
If another team wanted Jennings, they would have signed him off our Practice Squad. No wink-wink is needed. If we cut him, ANY team can make him an offer and he will be on their 53 for 3 weeks. Of course, we could choose to refuse an offer from another team.
To protect the player, a player can only be elevated for 3 weeks.
This week he will be on our 53 or back to being available as he has been all season.

As has been said one of 11 LB's and EDGE rushers can be cut or traded to free up a roster spot.
not if you cut him.
when you re-sign him he has reset his "options" so you can elevate him 3 more times...

there are worse ways to use the roster spot... wouldnt mind tj having a full time roster spotAnyway I heard Vrabel speak, and it sounded to me like Jennings was being called up permanently.
