Ummm Keion White is like standing on the brake and then putting on the E brake. I hope white figures it out, but right now I will take Chaisson every day and the entire game on Sundays.
Landry and Chaisson and pray for rain?

Landry is out.

The Titans are a dysfunctional team currently under owner Amy Adams Strunk. And dysfunctional teams do dysfunctional things, as we’ve seen elsewhere. Whoever has the owner’s ear is the person in charge.

The Titans fired GM John Robinson and replaced him with GM Ran Carthon. Carthon and HC Mike Vrabel disagreed on the team’s path and then fired Vrabel before the season began last year. Vrabel had led the Titans to two division titles. Carthon was then fired at the end of last year.

Chad Brinker, the president of football operations, and now seemingly having Adams Strunk’s ear, fired HC Brian Callahan on Monday, where the owner didn’t even show up at the press conference.

Along with Callahan, OL coach Bill Callahan (Brian’s father) left the team, and then the ownership fired Assistant to the Head Coach Tom Jones. This occurred after interim coach Mike McCoy stated that the staff would remain the same, except for Brian Callahan being let go.

Since firing Vrabel, the Titans are 4-19; the Patriots under Vrabel have won the same number of games despite playing in 17 fewer.

The “fired HC bounce” really doesn’t apply here. That commonly happens because a fired HC was not well-liked by his players, and so the players play better for one week because the guy they disliked is gone. For Tennessee, as far as I am aware, the players DID like Callahan but he was just a poor coach. If anything it seems likely they’d play worse for a week as they presumably start getting coached harder.
They also lost their OL coach when the HC was fired.

Slightly concerned about Diggs being limited with Chest. Cracked ribs suck…not nearly bad as a knee ligament.

So gourmet bologna?

So here I was thinking that this game is going to be a walk over. At LEAST a double-digit win in a game we might see Dobbs in for the final quarter and Chism catching his first NFL pass.

And then tonight I get a slap in the face of reality and see the Steelers go down to a team they had NO business losing to. It was a mismatch close to what I see our game with the Titans. AND they were missing their most impactful defensive player on a horrible team, with bad offense while they have a defense getting better every week. How can they lose. Well then they did. I forgot the oldest rule of NFL fandom. "on any given Sunday...." Any team can beat another. ANY TEAM.

Now I am not so ****y about Sunday. The "fired HC bump" now makes me nervous. The 3 road game in a row will cause me to wake up in the middle of the night. And I will appreciate ANY kind of victory come Sunday.

I'm ALWAYS nervous, Ken, but I'm glad to have your company. And I think that the extra exhaustion that comes from the travel is real.

Here's a completely irrational reason I'm nervous. Everyone has discovered the Patriots. All of the media coverage has suddenly turned positive: will the Pats win the AFC East? is Maye a candidate for MVP? I hate it! None of it was there two weeks ago, when it was all about what the Patriots should be looking for in the next draft and who they could trade for. Shut up, already!

Do you remember 2001 when, as the season wore on, commentators would write about "the surprising Patriots"?

I want them to be "the surprising Patriots" again.
