NFL Trade Deadline Discourse

I think I trust Vrabel's instincts either way on it. He had the guy for a couple years, after all, he knows if he's still got anything in the tank or not.
That familiarity could just as easily be a negative in this case. We're talking about if a guy still has it. You're trying to isolate what he is without being jaded by what he was. A guy who coached him at his peak could very well be biased in favor of him. Cutting the chord on a guy you love who isn't the same anymore is a tough call for anyone.

Having the distance from him for a few years, I'm confident in Vrabel's evaluation.
Until he gives me a reason not to.

this is what fans and media always say.

On average, how many trades per team are made? 1/2, 1, 2?
Last season, from the start of the regular season through the trade deadline:

18 trades
1.125 trades per team
25 teams made at least one trade
14 teams acquired 19 total players
11 teams only acquired draft picks
Only 1 trade involved two players
Only 5 of those 19 players are still with the team that traded for them last season

Hendrickson please, would be such a great fit along the rest of the d-line. Yes I would love AJ, but Hendrickson is a lot more realistic in terms of getting moved.

We can all say Drake Maye Needs a Running Game badly: we don't want him to use his body like Allen. Maye is not as Big as Allen: we do not want our QB to lead us in Rushing: the hits add up.

Getting him on that Defense: we would have to be in SB talks. He would make Landry and Chaisson way more dangerous.

Bengals if they lose Thursday Night; their Season is definitely over. They have a Three game homestand vs the Steelers - Jets and Bears. The Steelers have been handed that North Division and the Bears are not bad.

Put me down for Walker, Hubbard.
I don’t think we need AJ Brown, Boutte is playing well.
I’m not trading Boutte for Brown.

I feel like Maye doesn’t trust Williams to be where he needs to be. I could be wrong but he had a incompletion last week where it appeared, Williams kept running and Maye anticipated he was suppose to stop.

Agreed, he’d make the entire defense more dangerous. Barmore and Williams are already wrecking havoc on the interior, Landry has been really good, imagine Hendrickson a legit game changer on the edge playing with those guys.

Walker, specifically, would be such a shrewd move.

I was thinking about Chuba Hubbard too: has Rico Dowdle beat him out now?? Panthers have two guys who can keep the Football out of Bryce Young's hands. I can't see them parting ways with either.

I'd be worried as the 49ers are already rumored to be sniffing around. They are really getting desperate.

Hendrickson would be an instant fan favorite here. He's an extremely disruptive pass rusher who can get under QB's skin. In fact, he was doing this to Tom Brady while in New Orleans. Jason Taylor, Aaron Schobel, Justin Tuck, John Lynch, Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Terrell Sugg and Trey Hendrickson were the only players I saw who truly irritated Tom Brady.

He's that guy who will put the defense over the top.

Seahawks are probably in the Toughest Division in Football. And still in it: tough gritty Team. Sam Darnold is not a fluke afterall.

49ers are in Trouble too many injuries in that Division. They're not going to be able to keep up. So they lost Kittle where the hell did they find that Guy up ^ there unbelievable?? Mack Jones was playing catch with him.

Their offense is extremely limited. Jones is constantly checking down because the OL is ass and the WR's/TE aren't scaring anyone. They also can't run the ball which is a must in a Shanahan offense. They will move the ball at times, but their drives will stall in the red zone and crunch time just like last year. They are really lucky to be 4-2 right now, but I think they are going to implode soon.

Is Brandon Aiyuk or George Kittle coming back??

I wouldn’t mind Njoku, but that’s definitely not a priority at the moment. Safety, Edge, RB, WR & LB usurp our “need” for a TE. If anything, we need to get younger in the off-season at the position.
