NFL Trade Deadline Discourse

The RBs need holes to run through.
Henry is big and strong, but I have seen him be wildly ineffective when he gets hit at or behind the LOS, he needs a running start.
Watch Derek Henry on the Titans - same thing. Not saying Rham is Henry, but bigger guys need to build up some steam.

If he improves the team, which he would, who cares about the salary, it's a one year contract.
Our outside rush has not been good lately, Rattler had way too much time yesterday.
We still have folks clamouring for a WR, I would much rather add a pass rusher.
I don't know if he improves the team that much.

The Micah Parsons trade should give everyone some pause when it comes to that stuff. Packers gave up 2 first round picks and Kenny Clark, for 2.5 sacks, a snap count, is already hurt again, and 46.5 million per for the next 4 years.

And he's only 26.

Hendrickson's 31, with an injury history, and limits your cap flexibility for the rest of the year. For what?

Yup. We need to get much better at run-blocking. We won a SB with Antoine Smith, I personally feel our RBs are good enough, but the run-blocking is killing us.

He had 35 combined sacks in the 2 years previous to this one.
Cincy's D is a mess, who on that D-line outside of him keeps O coordinators up at night?
You put him on the edge with our interior 2 guys and he would be a real problem.
I'm not saying giving up a high pick, but for a 7th I would think every potential playoff team with a need at edge would do that in a millisecond.

Almost always ends with a thud.
Lots of smoke, but no fire.
Well I heard there were 18 trades last season (3 so far) and the number has been going up on an annual basis for the last few years. Deadline ends 11/4 so if the trend holds there are likely to 15 or so trades done over the next 3 weeks. THAT should create some excitement.

I’m all for adding any help to the front 7 as well as OL/RB.

It is tough to find enough copy on trades. There aren't many. The average is less than one per team.

If things continue south for Baltimore I’d inquire about Derrick Henry. Is he starting to slow down a bit from his peak, yeah. Is he still an upgrade running the football over Rham, yes he is.

Plus being a bigger back makes it tougher on opposing defenses when the weather turns.
I’d love to see how far they would go with a back like that. However it would be so embarrassing if he would average 3 ypc carry behind this run blocking. Not saying he would but the possibility crosses my mind.

From Rob Staton at Seahawksdraftblog:

Mentions Keion White as a possible target for the Seahawks.

A White for Riq Woolen swap might make sense. Woolen, like White, is in the doghouse, but has talent. 6'4" CB with 4.37 speed who made the Pro Bowl as a rookie.

I mentioned RB Kenneth Walker in a separate thread. He might be harder to pry loose.

Worth having a conversation.

Charbonnet has been garbage, they aren't trading Walker.
Seattle is a good team that's going to the playoffs, they aren't trading their starting RB.

If we ever wanted Simmons from Tenn now would be the time.

You guys really only hear what you want to hear. They aren't going to pay 3 defensive tackles 100 million. The Eagles aren't going to eat 90 million $$$, but you guys just continue to ignore reality and talk like these pipe dreams will actually happen.

Really wish we hit this one.

I think extra CB depth is the biggest need on the roster right now. That includes RB, LB. Secondary is thin
