It's easy, and only takes a few moments. We gotta crawl before we can walk...we keep this us.. we'll be getting nance like we routinely did... for years..Yeah, I didn’t mind the announcers today. Except they were a little slow on what was actually happening.
Cracked me up that they didn’t understand why Vrabel challenged the OOB call on Boutte and the subsequent argument over the 40 seconds versus 25 seconds until *after* the 2 minute warning. But I thought they did decently today, normally I don’t care for that crew but I thought they upped their game today. In contrast to the referees.Yeah, I didn’t mind the announcers today. Ironically Ross Wilson and Campbell were supposed to be excellent run blockers..but they have been excellent pass blockers instead.. there's no push from the interior.. the backs are getting hit in the bac field.. no holes. Drake and Williams need a few after practice sessions to get on the same page..Williams is too talent not to be a factor down field. I'm leaning adding running back..The WR room is actually pretty damn solid. Diggs looks like prime Diggs, Boutte literally catches everything, Pop is using his speed to get down field and haul in some huge plays, Hollins has been clutch a few times. If the Pats can get their run game sorted out to make teams have to respect it more, and if they can get Chism and Williams going a bit more, this WR room might be good enough. I don't know if they really need to add anything.
Same hereIf New England had lost that criminally officiated game I'd be apoplectic. When that bomb to Diggs was nullified by yet another bogus call I cursed so loud my wife left the room and didn't come back.
In reality the left side has been both the better run blocking side. We would've expected Bradbury, Onwenu and Moses to be the "stronger" run blocking side but they have all kinda sucked in run blocking. Definitely not what I expected, and something that feels fixable with reps and coaching.Ironically Ross Wilson and Campbell were supposed to be excellent run blockers..but they have been excellent pass blockers instead.. there's no push from the interior.. the backs are getting hit in the bac field.. no holes. Today's game did emphasize that the Patriots really need to find a decent RB option.
Stevenson had an absolute stinker of a game and we had nobody viable to replace him. 1.4 YPC for Stevenson.
Henderson had a few carries but not a performance that makes you think he can be the lead back yet. 3.0 YPC for Henderson.
I'm not asking for the moon, just a reliable veteran RB who will pick up 4-5 ypc for us on Sundays.
Yeah, Stevenson and Henderson didn't really do much to help but the issue was definitely the OL.Yep. It was all the RBs. Never the O-line.
Did you even WATCH the game? Because the O-line Run Blocking was the worst it's been since Marc Wilson was the QB.
You can't expect RBs to get 4-5 YPC when the defenders are already in the backfield by the time they get the handoff from a shotgun snap.
You know my feeling PF2, I think our collective pass catching group is more than capable.Ironically Ross Wilson and Campbell were supposed to be excellent run blockers..but they have been excellent pass blockers instead.. there's no push from the interior.. the backs are getting hit in the bac field.. no holes. Woah - that thought came to my mind milliseconds before seeing your post. Amazing what a solid line will do (and this goes back to college). One thing I noticed today for some reason: Drake has otherworldly vision and movement in the pocket. For a fairly tall, substantial guy, his quickness is pretty remarkable.
