He was exceptional today. But with more experience it’s a game where they should have abandoned the run and throw the ball 35-40 times. And use the quick passing game as an extension of the running game.
You've been down on him since TC, and rightfully so, but he was better today.Well he had t been good, but he did make a big play today.
If the 2024 draft was re-done, not only would Maye go 1st overall, he might not go the the Bears as another team trades a ransom to get him.
SO happy with how Maye is turning out.
Feels great to be relevant again, even envied by other fan bases.
There was an article this week that Bears GM Ryan Poles 'made fun of " Drake Maye when evaluating the talent and choosing who to draft.. by showing only the bad plays. Serves him right...If the 2024 draft was re-done, not only would Maye go 1st overall, he might not go the the Bears as another team trades a ransom to get him.

They hadWatching the bucs vs 49ers game, next time we have a chance to trade up for a wide receiver in first round and the OSU Wr1 is available , you go and draft them.

He is HimI didn't think I'd say this this soon but..
Drake ****in Maye.
That is all.
I mean bad players make plays. To me creating a turnover doesn’t counter balance a LB who doesn’t think like a LB and doesn’t read running plays or work effectively within his zone. You've been down on him since TC, and rightfully so, but he was better today.
I mean, yeah…the hyperbole is what makes the joke..I mean Maye and Rattler were dueling today but take a look at those lines again still not quite the same lol
Yes. I wasn't just judging him on the punch out, he was better today overall than he's been to date.I mean bad players make plays. To me creating a turnover doesn’t counter balance a LB who doesn’t think like a LB and doesn’t read running plays or work effectively within his zone.
He probably played 35 snaps or so, you have to judge him on all of them, but just what stand out on tv (which goes both ways)
Also as out of stater who refuses to pay for Sunday ticket, I listened to the game on Sirius and thought Zolak was going to have a stroke with all the bad calls by Adrian Hill's crew.As an out of state Pat’s fan, it as nerve wracking watching the scoreboard. Thankfully it was a win. This game was the exact opposite of last week. Pats did practically nothing in the 1st half, and Drake Maye was quiet, then Maye was practically perfect and explosive in the 2nd half.
Maye was explosive and statistically perfect in the 1st half, and quiet and did practically nothing in the 2nd half, though came up clutch on that 3rd down play late in the 4th to seal the victory. After that 1st half, I thought he was on his way to a 4 or 5 td pass game.
I give N.O. credit though, they shut the Pats down and gave themselves a chance in the 2nd half. They may be the best 1-5 team in football.
I’d like to see the Pats develop a killer instinct, but you have to tip your hat to the opponent. I expect a similar game vs the rest of our opponents for the rest of the year.
And it STILL would have been a better call than the one that took away Pop's TD.He got flagged for OPI right after the video ended.
Godwin stayed with the Bucs by choice. Metcalf was traded nothing to do with FA. Your examples have nothing to do with the Pats not being a prefer FA WR destination.WRs being interested for one, Diggs off an ACL was the best we could get guys like Godwin and DK Metcalf might have actually been interested if the Patriots showed this last year.
Milton Williams was always going to go to the highest bidder since he hadn't been paid, defensive guys can function at an elite level regardless of the QB play so obviously don't care as much, it's no surprise we struggled to get weapons last 2 off seasons.
