Still some rough football but for entertainment value this season has been like that first gulp of air at the surface after nearly drowning compared to last year.

Game balls for Boutte, Marcus J, Maye, ... and ... drum roll .... POP!
...and...Christian Ellis, who made a nice pbu, plus the key defensive play of the game punching the ball out for a NO fumble. People here are rough on him but I think he's been good.

I dont think I said they were scary, but the jets defense is playing well and keeping them in games, granted the Jets cant score, but I still don’t believe the Pats cant have a bad game, today’s second half of offense wasn’t what I would call stellar. They won and that’s great and Im happy.
Yes you are so happy, you decided to make it a point you are worried about the team that can’t win a game.
You do realize the jets were 31st in points allowed before today right?

31.4 ppg isn’t my idea of a defense playing really well

Hope that Fins fan posts another video
Feel like we could use an athletic RG for sure. Depending on how FA shapes up I could see them going LB or RG/RT with their first
Yes. Need to open some running lanes. Cannot just live and die by the pass.

LB an obvious need as well. I think the coming draft is in our favor as far as needs go.

Was that a complaint or recognition of a solution?

On my behalf neither, really. Although, with the air so profanely purpled I suppose she felt relieved.

I saw Moses being beat on multiple plays and the RBs unable to run via right side. Is onwenu playing really crappy ?

Yeeeeaaaah…he’s clearly not the guy…

If the 2024 draft was re-done, not only would Maye go 1st overall, he might not go the the Bears as another team trades a ransom to get him.

SO happy with how Maye is turning out.

Feels great to be relevant again, even envied by other fan bases.

Maye cannot lead the team in rushing…unless it’s for TDs.

He should’ve been the number 1 pick instead of Williams. I’ve always said that; though I did like Caleb too. It really boiled down to Maye’s inexperience relative to both Williams & Daniels against ranked opponents, his last season where he lost all of his weapons & in a different offense.

Funny that you blame the Running backs and not the O-line that was letting Defenders into the backfield the entire 2nd half of the game.
Agreed. RBs had someone in their face before getting back to the LOS. The run blocking was next level awful.

Didn’t think he was bad outside of the 3rd and 7 handoff. Cant totally abandon running the ball this season.
Agreed. Plus, I think a decent part of Maye's leveling up this season has to be down to Josh mentoring him.

It’s great to see the team grit down like this, on the road, in one of the poorest refereed games I’ve ever seen. As @patchick mentioned, the fact that they still got a TD on the drive that Douglass’s 2nd TD was reversed is the definition of mental toughness. And kudos to the coaching staff for that challenge at the end which ultimately won the game.

This team’s weaknesses are evident and were on full display today. But right now, I don’t care. I’m thrilled that we have a ton of strengths, that the team has learned how to win again, and we have a very clear, positive trajectory. We’re in great hands with Maye and Vrabel. Our future is bright once again!

That’s the next step for Maye. He was exceptional today. But with more experience it’s a game where they should have abandoned the run and throw the ball 35-40 times. And use the quick passing game as an extension of the running game.

Well he hasnt been good, but he did make a big play today.
