I hate saying I told you so... hell, who am I kidding. I LOVE saying I told you so.

LITERALLY within the past 24 hours I was saying that those wanting to dump Douglas might want to hold off as I think McDaniels has been slowly working Maye up to speed before letting him air it out some.

And the feel good train continued when I continued being right about Boutte. I kept saying... YOU DON'T GET RID OF A GUY WHO HAS DEVELOPED CHEMISTRY WITH YOUR QB. And well...

*bows*

My favorite bit of this game was the way they stayed focused and marched down the field after being robbed of Pop's TD.

Also, here's to the miracles that saw Landry, Davis and Jones all return to the field after injury scares. Landry in particular could give TB12 lessons in flexibility.

We signed a lot of FAs last year including the best defensive FA. What difference do you see in 2026?
WRs being interested for one, Diggs off an ACL was the best we could get guys like Godwin and DK Metcalf might have actually been interested if the Patriots showed this last year.

Milton Williams was always going to go to the highest bidder since he hadn't been paid, defensive guys can function at an elite level regardless of the QB play so obviously don't care as much, it's no surprise we struggled to get weapons last 2 off seasons.

People still feel compelled to make excuse for Wolf and Mayo being unable to convince any players they knew what they were doing

So true. Coming away with a dogfight of a road win and no big injuries was massive

I was WRONG

Maye is damn good
Boutte is damn good

That is all

A win is a win.

But I don't want to hear another word about Spencer Rattler ever again. He's now 1-12 as a starting QB and averaging 230 yards passing and 1 TD. For anyone that is thinking about posting something about him....don't.
Agreed

The refereeing was bad even in the booth. Why did Vrabel have to throw his challenge flag at 2:13 in the 4th when the booth is supposed to automatically review close plays with under 5:00 to go in the game?

I didn’t know NO was that good this year?! Rattler played well against us today but overall he is pretty average and usually prone to alot of mistakes
Other than the first play it was a whole bunch of us taking away intermediate and deep stuff and making them win by throwing underneath.
Ultimately it worked as they score 3 second half points.
Defense that forced the other team to be patient and unable to overcome mistakes isn’t always pretty, but if done right it works.

You are not the Ghost of Joker.

For any number of reasons that is fairly obvious my friend lol

I disagree, we should say more. Several of those referees out there today deserve to be fired. The league had to step in MULTIPLE times to overturn calls.

I think it needs to be said. A lot. It was that bad.

There was more clutching, grabbing and holding in that game than at a middle school dance but at some point we have to accept it's only a penalty when they call it. By the second half I was more or less tipping my cap to their O'line coach, hella job coaching his boys up to get away with that. If you can hold enough to negate the Pats interior rush without drawing flags, that's impressive. Dirty and fugly but impressive nonetheless. The PI's were preposterous, what is there really to say beyond that?

That doesn't mean if I'm the Pats I'm not sending that game tape to the league office for review. If not wtf can they expect from every interior O-line the rest of the way? As the fans of the winning team though, whining is unseemly. We are on to the Titans

Can’t remember the last time you was so angry after a win

If New England had lost that criminally officiated game I'd be apoplectic. When that bomb to Diggs was nullified by yet another bogus call I cursed so loud my wife left the room and didn't come back.

After the last few years especially, can’t complain about winning a “ trap” game. *But*, we should’ve dropped 40 points on the Saints if we had stuck with the passing game as a first option rather than 3rd and long during the second half. When we got yardage on1st down runs we were held to 0 - 1 yard gains on 2nd down. Then when it started to get dicey on 1st down runs we lost 2 or gained 0 yards. The refs were beyond atrocious on 3 long passing plays including the 51 yard TD. The passing game in the first half was spectacular and I just don’t understand why we didn’t keep it going….

I am so mad I benched him on my fantasy teams
I've had him starting because I've got Mike Evens, Rasheed Rice, and Brandon Aiyuk all injured... LOL I actually dumped Godwin to pick up Boutte.

Also picked up Thornton.. LOL

For all the people calling the Saints a bad team and expecting us to blow them out, the Patriots were a bad team until about 3 weeks ago.

Losing to the Raiders at home, the defense was awful in Miami then the turnover debacle against the Steelers, the Patriots could of just as easily been the Saints until it clicked the last 3 games.

It's a bit early in the process for style points, the spread in Vegas was Patriots -3.5, they won by more than expected.
