The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

Newsflash as well…. Nobody cares about him winning rings as a coordinator. It’s actually embarrassing bringing them up.

One might even call it fraudulent...

Passing off eight rings as if they all signify the same thing sure smells like fraud to me.

Too much.

Does he get to coach the Cal game ?

He needs to be gone.

Bunny too
Seems like there is way too much info leaking right now for no action to be taken. I think by the end of the weekend Bill is done at UNC.

You guys must not think the job Josh is doing matters then?

Chiefs fans have more respect for Spags then you all do for Bill. Pathetic.

He's like rain man...

"its fake news 8 ringzzzzzzzzzz

Your like a broken record. Hate hate hate on repeat. Even minutes after huge wins when you should be happy you're still miserable and hating.

It is just sad what has happened with BB.

He could have basked in retirement with one of the pinnacle accomplishments of any coach, and he has done all of this to himself, and it didn’t have to be that way.

Sad that he will not get a chance to break the all time wins record in the NFL.

It is a train wreck at this point and I don’t want to pay any more attention to this.

It seems to me this issue came to a head yesterday in Chapel Hill and, somehow or another, they agreed he is staying (for now). Yesterday would have been the time to strike but since they put out the touchy feely we love each other statement, it looks like he is safe until at least the upcoming Cal game.
He needs to be gone.

Bubba is going down at the same time Bill does. Can't see how he saves his own job after this disaster.

If BB had just retired after Super Bowl 53 he would've forever been celebrated as the GOAT coach. Or even after the 2021 or 2022 seasons. The man is in his seventies, heaven knows why he needs all the aggravation.
BB should've copied what Phil Jackson did with Michael Jordan and initially retired in 1998. Phil didn't want to waste his time with rebuilds. Then one year later, he picks the best job in basketball in the Lakers.

Sticking around after Brady left was a big mistake. Had Bill followed Phil's formula, he probably would've gotten his choice of jobs in the NFL if he wanted to come back.

Phil was 52 years old when that happened.

Belichick is an elderly man and no HC has ever been successful even Geeg Popovich couldn't win with a generational talent.

SBB is just delusional in his man love for Belichick. Belichick doesnt have the drive to be great anymore. Its why a lot of HoF HCs quit on top.

BB may have been given a better team in your scenario but he still would have failed with his insistence on having his friends and family be a part of the coaching staff

Yep.

In his last days as a NEP coach his coaching, draft, and FA choices were not good.

He would want to install his own offense/defense and require new personnel to run it. Not good.

Drop him into BUF, BAL or KC and I don't see those teams going to the next level with him.

Or just people are calling a spade a spade and some people are losing their **** over it. Bill did contribute a lot to the winning here.

-he is also the reason the best player and most important player to our success didn’t want to retire here

-he is also the reason the team has been destitute of talent and hemoraging in that department for years.

-he also came into UNC arrogant as hell and took a middle of the road program and made it the laughingstock of college football

-he also has prove over and over again that when separated from Brady, he falls off at a terrible rate compared to every comparable coach without their best QB. Hell the other coaches who had Brady have done more without him than Belichick.

Sorry but some people need to stop having a "you either are 100% kissing his ass on everything he's done or you are an ungrateful hater". The main culprit is literally saying **** like he wishes Bill was here this year and Bill should have gotten more time. If someone thinks that, you know they don't really care about the Patriots and really just care about some weird idolatry they have over one guy.

If you come in here gloating over the Patriots losing meaningful games then you aren't a Patriots fan. signbabybill did exactly that.

The whole thing is a drag. He's been off his fastball probably since Alex Guerrero or Malcom Butler. It's really sad to see. It's not unique, however, every older coach that hung on a bit too long has a very unfortunate end. It doesn't take away from all his great accomplishments, but it does give a very poor ending to the final chapter of his career. It really is a train wreck.
