UNC’s next game - after yet another bye - is against Cal, who is arguably their easiest conference opponent. Be prepared for all hell to break loose if they lose that one.

Lose that one and they’re staring an 0-8 conference record right in the face. Maybe 1-7 if they can take Stanford at home.

A 2-10 finish here might be the biggest coaching failure in sports history. If not then it has to be up there.

The "media" for UNC has no history with Bill. The UNC media doesn't hate Bill. Bill thinks he floats on water and all other football coaches will tremble in fear thinking about him. Turns out the opposite.

Right - he's not Ted Lasso coming in with no knowledge of the game that the media is mocking.

Quite the opposite - they expected someone who IS a consumate pro but instead got a mean Ted Lasso.

Most of us wanted him to succeed at UNC by brining the Patriots way there and now it's like watching a slow speed crash as he brings the anti-Patriots way to UNC (don't do your job and cause distractions.)

Now all of that being said, this was never going to be a one year turnaround and the transfers he brought in aren't even close to the cream of the crop, with any recruits needing years to develop. But aside from that, do close UNC watchers feel like he's making changes for the positive or negative? Seems more on the negative side as they KNOW all of BB's recent foibles are also hurting them in their recruitment efforts - including things like prohibiting pro scouts from scouting UNC players.

I think it would compare to when Bobby Petrino went to Atlanta or when Urban Meyer went to Jax. But obviously those were college guys who got humiliated in the pros, not vice-versa.

The future just doesn’t look good. It isn’t the NFL where the worst team gets the #1 pick in the draft. Every single player (the ones on your team, the ones on other teams and the ones you’re recruiting) are all UFA’s every single offseason.

You don't accept the answer. I defend what he did here. I root for him to succeed at UNC out of loyalty and appreciation for what he did here. Nothing you say or do undoes 8 SBs.
