@FoxboroFan23 either you're a noobie and we can forgive you for not understanding @PatsFan2 fixation on all things wideout, or... you're a sock puppet for PF2.
Steve I've been called many things just don't call me late for dinner.

This play needs to be talked about more. Diggs made a tremendous adjustment on the route when he saw Maye roll out. This is utterly impressive and I don't think there are more than 5-7 QBs that could make this throw. Something else that was impressive is how fast the Safety closes on Diggs.

I think they ended up improvising on several of those busted plays. Diggs knows what he needs to do to help his QB out. Drake and Diggs are starting to look like they are on the same wave length and thats going to get better as the season goes on and thats going to make them dangerous down the road.

Though Vrabel will definitely deal with the two bonehead DTs (Pharms and Farmer?) and their egregious late hits.

Bucket of cold water:
- Despite the win I feel there is still a gap between us and the Bills. A lot went the right way for us to eke out a 3 point win. Two Bills turnovers in the red zone. Drake Maye making every statistically improbable completion. Bills fans moaning about them losing the game rather than the Pats winning it is a familiar sentiment from the dynasty days when our Pats would drop an odd game to the Jets or Dolphins.
Even the Buffalo radio guys pointed out a few things today. One, the Patriots were penalized for MORE yards than the Bills, and they also had 2 fumbles, so... it's not like a lot went right, really. A lot also went wrong. The INT by Marcus was a huge difference in the game because our guy didn't have to force things the way Allen did.

The Farmer late hit was excused by the Buffalo guys because they pointed out that, one, Cook was still trying to lateral the ball the Allen, and two, the refs had not blown the whistle. So even the Buffalo media team thought it was a rough call even if it was a late hit. Players need to know that a guy is on the ground, even if he is actually upright.

Let's hope Boutte - Pop Douglas and Kyle Williams joins that exclusive club.

But then again we lost to the 1-4 Raiders who were shellacked by the Colts, 40-6. Genno Smith leads the nfl with 9 interceptions. How’d we lose to those clowns?
Defensive coaching.

Blitz Smith over and over and don't ever cover his hot read.

Yeah, I think of Campbell’s genuinely tiny wingspan kind of like Brady’s genuinely slow running speed. It’s relevant, a negative in evaluating a prospect, but you have to look at the whole player and his strengths.

Fun Combine stats:
Tom Brady, 5.28 40, 24.5” vertical
319-lb. Will Campbell, 4.98 40, 32” vertical

To be fair, Campbell's 77" wingspan was historically low. It wasn't outlandish to flag it as a potential concern. It could still be an issue in some cases, but clearly Campbell has learned to use his strengths and work around his limitations.

Come to think of it we got the best 2 players of the draft class on consecutive years . Maye would be picked 1 in hindsight and considering the performances and that Campbell is a bonafide stud at LT, he might also have possibly gone 1 based on limited sample size . ( Carter could be one who might be beating Campbell now for rookie honors ). And gonzo is prolly the best corner .

Those are 3 franchise cornerstones in 3 years coupled with Marcus Jones, barmore, Milton williams, landry and stefon diggs .

What a draft and off-season. Hope this upswing continues . And we are not even talking about Jared Wilson.

I agree that if we had nothing to go on other than the measurements it would be a huge consideration. However, there is a body of work that says its not a factor with his game, that other attributes offset any negatives it may have. Just too many on here said he was guard after the tape measurement came out and wrote him off before the first snap.

Jills new thread now shifts the loss to the refs

Not outlandish at all, a wide body and long arms are huge pluses for an OT. My take on draft day was that Campbell was the logical choice but a disappointing value at #4 overall because of his size limitations. Week by week he's challenging my value calculations.

Idk a lot posters here have weird ideas about not wanting WRs. Forget PF2. Don't you agree it was nice seeing a Pats WR perform last night? Wouldn't you agree Diggs performance was essential to winning the game?

Marcus spears first line for nfl live’s segment on our game : “What was Tennessee thinking?? “

We had 1 fumble. Gibson fumbled but we recovered it.

It kinda sounds like you wanna argue, and I'm not interested in arguing with a guy with 40 posts. Diggs went off, and you could kinda see it building to this. Returning to Buffalo, chip on the shoulder, ect. Awesome win, because they are on the rise. As far as me ****ting on PF2, you haven't been here long enough to know the history for how certain posters behave. PF2 is a good dude and takes my giving him a hard time very well. Comedic relief. I am sure he'd welcome you to the Cult of Vertical Routeness.

They’re waiting till it happens to Kermit Mahomes first then they’ll change the rule for him.
