I know the Bills was a statement game. But it also was a huge positional playoff game. They won one they shouldn't. The Bills played subpar for them and the Pats were good enough to take advantage. They weren't perfect... but good enough to beat a better Bills team that played worse. Getting that win now changes the playoff dynamic.

I think if KC wins the Pats are the 8th team right now. But we all know in reality going by the schedule ahead the Pats are now in the drivers seat for the playoffs. If they take care of business they are making it. I don't see a way they are kept out if they generally win the games they should win and lose the games they should lose. They just can't stumble too much. The Saints game is in some ways just as important as the Bills game. And will tell us in some ways just as much as the Bills game did.

This is a team that needs to learn how to win, and how to be consistent. For the first time in a long time they won 2 games in a row. Now they need to show they can do that and not have a let down. Can they string good solid games together more than just back to back? That is a huge question.

It isn't a stretch to say if they beat NO most of the questions about this team's character are answered. Then it becomes more about health, match ups and the consistency of Maye's play as an individual.
S Diggs 247 yards in two weeks: feed the man.

Rattler can play. This will be a classic let down game for New England

Because if injuries to their OL, the Saints were forced to start an undrafted rookie at RG. The Giants, with one of the best Dlines, had 7 or 8 pressures given up by Torricelli Simpkins III, who played at South Carolina. But still QB Spencer Rattler had a very respectable game, even pitching an 87 yarder.

He was 21 out of 31 for 225 yards, one TD and 0 interceptions. He did have one pick that was called back because of a Giant penalty.

Nabers didn’t play for the Giants, though. Out for the season. Pretty much their best player.

A lot like the Pats game with the Steelers. Giants outplayed the Saints but had 5 TOs, one of which was at least a 10 point turnaround, maybe 14.

Rattler was fine, but the Giants are nowhere near a good football team. Their secondary is downright awful so no blitzing. They play a very vanilla defense, a lot of base and quarters. They made his day a lot easier than it should have been.

A blowout win for us coming pad the stats.
I don't think it will be a blowout. The Saints suck, but they try, and they are at home, coming off their first win.

Saints will have a tough time scoring on their own though, but who knows if they get help or not. Or if a stiff breeze blows through the Superdome and Stevenson fumbles six times.

Classic let down type of game. Also on the road. Out of conference game. Saints will win the 1st half. Pats will have to adjust and stage a 2nd half comeback.

Yes, I agree. And the Saints have an up and coming secondary. Rookie safety Jonas Sanker has been starting and making a big impact. And second year Kool Aid McKinstry had a big game. He struggled in earlier games but recorded an interception.

The defensive backfield for the Saints is much more athletic than what the Bills fielded. Just saying.

Some of those big completions Maye completed, like to Henry and Boutte based on holes in the coverage, might not be there.

Keep your eyes on play maker Jonas Sanker.

If Patriots fans go into this home game for the Saints, after their uplifting first victory, thinking they "suck", they will be disappointed.

Looks to be a Patriots victory. But a close game.

Except for the Seahawks, all the Saints games have been close. Even against the Bills.

And the Bills running game and Josh Allen were cooking that game.

The problem with the Saints is no one knows how good or bad they are. There are only 5 game in so far. You kind of almost want to throw week 1 out for most teams as week 1s can be so weird.

Outside of that... They lost the the Bills, 49ers and Seahawks... 3 pretty damn good teams with 4 total losses. in 15 games. Then they beat the lowly Giants with 1 bad half and 1 good half. What does that really tell us? Not a ton.

Yeah, they're the best 1-4 team ever. We get it.

Saints have been the ultimate trap team for many years. Whether you're looking forward to the next game, the game after a big win or think it's a guaranteed win. Remember the game in 1998?

We need to rattle Rattler
Not going to happen. Even if undrafted rookie Torricelli Simpkins III starts again at RG. Guy caused a bunch of pressures. On most teams he'd be on the practice squad.

Here's a fun fact. Cesar Ruiz, the Saints starting RG (if healthy), played at Michigan. After he graduated he was replaced in the starting lineup by...?

Big Mike Onwenu.

Oh my god, dude. This might actually be funnier than Justin Fields and his 'Unstoppable RPOs'.

Not what I said. Reread what I did write. How's that reading comprehension thing going, Tommy?

But if mistakes are made all of this won't matter. The Giants game was a demonstration of that.

Play a clean game and we should win comfortably.

You've gassed up the Saints like they're the greatest show on turf, and Spencer Rattler will be playing the role of Kurt Warner, in this thread.

Got it. The usual from you. Unstoppable RPOs. Got it.

I don't think this game's a blowout, but there's a reason the Saints are 1-4.

People have made fun of me for my Spencer Rattler love, the fifth round secondyear guy who’s 1-10 as a starter. But then there’s the undeniable arm talent that him touted since high school, when he was a jerk.
