Forged in Foxboro episode that covers this game is gonna be so good.

The thing is, just 2 weeks ago I wasn't sure there would be a Forged in Foxboro, or if we were seeing a Faked in Foxboro.

I mean, the penalties, the turnovers, the team coming out so flat, the ultra-conservative play calling. It didn't look promising.

What a turnaround.

And bildoes. Don’t forget the bildoes.

It's just one more thing for them to stick up their asses, just like the white unis and their hopes for this season.

Patriots closed out that dump of a stadium in the same way they spent much of the last 25 years with another victory.

Training camps really are too short nowadays. I understand why they shortened it, but at the end of the day, those are types of issues a well-coached team used to have under control by the end of preseason. Or if you’re the Jets, never get under control.

We used to laugh and complain saying Belichick treated September as extended training camp, but I really don’t think it was intentional, he just really needed that long to get the team up and running. And seeing Vrabel with the same experience validates that idea. Anyway, really great to see the Pats progressing on all fronts, it’s a great feeling to be a fan of this team again!

Some things i will mention that i haven't seen mentioned yet i liked or didn't.

Play call selection. After Stevenson fumbled they yanked his leash and tried to keep him from ruining this game for them. Gibson went down... So they kind of had to put him out there a bit.. But the limited the running plays to limit how much Stevenson could hurt them.

They also realized the run wasn't getting enough done and i think intentionally abandoned it compared to the first half and put the game more in Drake's hands.

Landry has been fairly silent the last 3 games... had a huge week 1... and since hasn't really made much impact. He needed to step out today with Chaisson out... and he just didn't... at least in the pass rush.

Josh i think had 2 big runs tonight. The others he was pretty contained, They did a good job on not letting him take over the game with his legs. Good defensive game plan.

And for the D... They looked good tonight. I really mean that. It wasn't just some big players making big plays. For the first time this year they looked like a cohesive unit for 60 minutes... the communication was more or less on point. The only blown assignment was Hawkins and that was entirely on him. Everything else was well coordinated and communicated.

As for communication.... The offense overall did that really well tonight too... not as well as the D, but pretty damn well.

One key thing to point out. I really think going by this year overall and the past few weeks. It has really sunk in for Maye he needs to avoid hits and also we are seeing him throw it away more. Good things.

STs didn't make any big plays tonight but were really really solid. No bad kicks. I they let the Bills start at the 35 only once. And the big kick make was huge. Sometimes having a good STs day means you don't let the other team beat you and just play solid. This was a solid day for the unit on the whole.

One of the many joys of the dynasty years was watch BB "climb the mountain" every year. No matter how the NFL tried to screw the Pats - cooked up scandals to steal draft picks, rule changes - plus the usual roster turnover, he would take whatever he had to work with and mold it into a contender by Thanksgiving. Some of those teams were very flawed - the 2011 secondary, the 2006 and 2013 WR corps. Those teams still ended up top 4.

I'm finally beginning to have the feeling that we may see something similar. There is some good talent to work with, starting at some of the most critical positions. The effort is there. The team is young, but with coaching and experience should improve.

I think we may finally be over the painful past 5 years. Just maybe.

That comment by belichick has been bastardized.
What he was saying, which fits what you are saying, was that you need the first quarter of the season to figure out what you have, because you can’t do it in camp like you used to

Here’s a thought.
BB and Brady went 10 years between championships
A tie would be 2028. Can this “rebuild” be faster?
Long way to go but the point is we are year 7 and it took them 10
