I think Daniels is still better at this point. Not by a whole heck of a lot though. But I would rather have Maye. I think we will start to see Daniels miss more and more games over the years. He just isn’t built to play like he does ans stay healthy. He isn’t built like Josh Allen. He’ll, he isn’t even built like Maye.
My concern too.

I feel like he is going to miss at least two games per year.

I was thinking about this but didn't want to get into it before this game

Rodgers
Darnold
Williams
Prescott
Stafford
Herbert
Mayfield
Maye
Love
Goff
Hurts
Burrow
Jackson
Allen
Mahomes

I didn't exactly put them in reverse order... but i think there is some separation between these 15 guys and everyone else... I think everyone else is just different degrees of bad. Purdy hasn't shown much of it is him as much as the cast and system. Bo Nix hasn't shown me this year he belongs on this list. Rodgers has issues... but he still has enough to be considered more good than bad.

Can we agree this group of 15 should be considered good and then there is a clear drop off to 'not good'? I won't worry about listing degrees of bad. After that we can start debating order.
But as far as “bang for the buck”, or Return on Investment (ROI) or value per contract dollar, he would have to be in the top five, no? Allen and Mahomes cost a fortune but are worth it. Maybe Hurts (rings impress me), but only with a suitably creative coach.
….Maybe Jackson, but he is expensive and hasn’t won at the highest stage. ….Burrow is great but expensive and always injured.
…I personally think that Mayes is in the top five of QB assets in the NFL with his promise and budget pay (so far). A great time to be a Pats fan!

The full pass rush only works when both pass rushers are out there.

Playing Tonga more has solved the run issues.
I'd say Jennings last week helped solve those as did White this week, and yes Tonga.

Landry also is as guilty as Chiasson in getting washed out easily on run plays.

The lack of pass rush in a game like tonight's concerns me less just because Josh Allen is difficult to get to.

Yes, it can be loud there, but it didn't seem as loud as it had been in the past, at least not how it was broadcast tonight.

I do feel their window is closing.

It's ironic they will get that new stadium next season and as usual there will be people claiming it's not as good as the old days with the ****ty stadium, just like some here still wish we were in Shaeffer Stadium.

It'll give them one more thing to blame as the window slams shut, but of course will have nothing to do with it at all.

In with the posh new stadium, out with Beefalo's gritty blue-collar rep.

It’s funny that just two weeks ago many people were saying this team was no different than the team being coached under Mayo last year. No way would the Pats won tonight with Mayo and his coaching staff.
Heck, they were still saying exactly that same thing with the Patriots ahead at halftime tonight

That 30 yarder on the sidelines was rediculous.

Those 2 got something cooking!
They really do. After the Panthers game I said that I hoped that pass where Maye hit Diggs downfield and on the sideline was a sign they were developing chemistry and was a sign of what's to come. Looks like it was.

This is just the beginning of their connection. Imagine how it looks by the last quarter of this season, or even next season.

Great job of limiting James Cook. This is why I don't agree with those bothered about the linebackers. I think they've been great the last three weeks.

They've certainly improved. Though Elliss still runs out of control too often. He needs to learn some patience.

Tonga has been one of the pleasant surprises of the off-season.

Imagine having to watch Caleb instead of Drake for the next fifteen years. I think we got the best guy in the class - that ability to throw great passes while rolling right is a cheat code. Allows him to escape pressure as needed and forces defenses to scramble.
He can throw across his body to the left too, that pass to Pop was tipped. We've seen him make some crazy cross body throws.

If there's one weakness to his game, it's his movement in the pocket.

I would still take Edelman's 179 yards on 8 catches against the Seahawks in 2020, but yeah, incredible game by Diggs, he was extremely motivated and delivered over and over.
It was a shock to my system to see a receiver that talented go to work for us. He was immense.

They have 2 rookies manning the left side of the line and they are studs. Thats a wining draft no matter what else happens. And they hit on more than them.

Early returns on this draft are phenomenal. Woodson was considered an WTF pick but he’s already a core starter. Ashby to Borregales for the game winner. Even Marcus Bryant looks like a steal.

I say he is in the top 5 of qb play period

No matter the outcome of tomorrow’s game, the Pats are now the #7 seed in the AFC, and also only 1 game out of the division lead and #1 seed.

Their next 7 opponents are a combined 10-23, and four of those ten wins are from 1 team (Tampa).
But but worst roster in the league and need to rebuild for 5 years just to fight for a 7 seed!

He doesn’t have a LB brain. He can’t read plays.
