Drake Maye made his first NFL start for the New England Patriots on October 13, 2024, in a Week 6 game against the Houston Texans. While the Patriots lost the game 41-21, the start was considered encouraging, with Maye throwing for 243 yards and 3 touchdowns, though he also had 2 interceptions and a fumble.

Here is your friendly Google reminder not to sound stupid when falling someone out as lying.
The fact that you think that's a better start than today, means you're just grinding your pointless agenda. You're either lying, or ******ed.

That last fumble by Maye…was one of the dumbest plays I’ve ever seen.

I missed it live but he’s trying to shovel it.

Just take the goddamned sack kid.
Josh Allen year two...we can remain hopeful.

Any Josh Allen comparisons are way too premature, but Maye doesn’t look like Winston at all. Winston’s completion percentage always sucked. He had a great arm but no accuracy. Maye went 13 throws without incompletion in the second half. Winston would have games in his second season where he barely completed 13 passes. He had four games in his second season where he completed 17 or less passes. Only did have less than 35 passing attempts.
Agreed. Also the defense played well enough to win.. we should have won 28-7.. once again it's the patiots beating the patriots.. these home losses are really starting to become annoying..

Its been a sunday ritual for over fifty years to watch the patriots on sunday afternoon. I don't know how much longer i can put up with the ineptness and unprofessionalism of this team. I had high hopes when vrable took over because even if the team consisted mostly of JAGs at least they'ed be disciplined JAGs . So far its like Mayo never left in.
You act like they've been a poverty franchise for years.

Every NFL team would switch places with the Patriots.

Well some redemption - Jets & Dolphins tied at 0-3…

Which one was the first half one? The final drive one was a horrrible throw.
It was in his hands. he dropped it, dove when he didn't have to. He just had to stop. First half was on the 2nd drive when they punted.

See my above post.

His first game was better than today's game. Its literally a fact.
Lazy. If watched the games you would have seen the difference. Again, you’re lazy and using some Google **** to prove your point.

Did I misuse “your” again?

The fact that you think that's a better start than today, means you're just grinding your pointless agenda. You're either lying, or ******ed.

The fact that you'll sit there and debate wether 21 points and 3 touchdowns is better than 2 and 14 points certainly is a take.

But wtf bother with stats if they don't mean anything in that bizzaro brain you have there.

The defense isn’t off the hook either.

2nd and 16 and can’t even hold them to a FG. SMH

Maye is slowly 'getting it'. I saw him avoid unnecessary hits for the most part. But on the fumble, his internal clock should have told him to get rid of the ball.

It probably has more to do with the fact that in his 13th start he looks worse than his 1st start.

But why bother with the context when we can just peddle in our own narratives?

No it didn’t. Maye had two or three bad plays and played very well otherwise. He sustained some really long beautiful drives that unfortunately ended with turnovers. One was on Stevenson. Can’t blame Maye for the RB fumbling. And he was perfect passing for most of the second half.

And you are right. Why should bother with context when you are going to make up your own narrative.

Turnovers obviously killed us, but the refs were calling some horrible penalties on NE. They had every reason to lay down, but they fought it out. I’m excited about this team going forward despite the loss.
Can't blame the Refs: we had many chances in spite of.

Who else, really is there to blame? This is mostly on Vrabel for sure.
The players who didn't hold on to the ball.

Pain and simple - don't turn the ball over five times and this is a different game. The players need to do better. Thats not on Vrabel. It is on the players. There is no two ways about it. Sloppy all game long.

Vrable almost said Pop fkd up... Please put Chism in.
I've come around on this.too. we don't need to totally not use pop but.. chism gives a different look... next game Henderson needs to start.. defense was very impressive.. played well enough to win.. without gonzo..
