The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

Bill could start by putting a leash on Bunny cause she has no business roaming around the sidelines.

And no Bill cult, this is not normal.

IMO that's a sign of how much he's lost it.

Like he really couldn't have a word with her saying 'this is my place of work, can you tone it down a bit???'

It's showing a total lack of situational awareness, IMO.

Meanwhile if we're wondering how much of his energy is going into football and how much of it is going into getting some ass, his players have to be wondering the same thing.

It's just a poor, poor showing by him, the one-time 'no distractions' guy.

Legacy trashed, indeed.

Bill's getting paid big time program money. He's not going to get a pass for it being early when he's getting treated like a Nick Saban. If they don't improve fast they aren't going to want to make an investment they aren't used to. Also there's 70 new players. Bill built this team.

Also at his age Bill is the oldest FBS coach right now. They can't view this as a longterm thing. They were hoping Bill would jumpstart something that they could use to become relevant. If after year one or two they aren't seeing it, there's very little incentive to keep this going and pouring in the money they are. On top of that, after getting smashed in their first game, they pretty much lost all national interest they were hoping Belichick would bring. This isn't Deion at Colorado anymore. That TCU game already got people to pull back on how much UNC will be showcased. And now that their biggest game of the year is against Clemson who is 1-3 (and will still massacre UNC), it's doubtful they really get another chance at a big spotlight game this year.

I still think he'll get year 2. But there's going to be a lot of reigning things in this off season and the leash will be shorter.

It's kind of a weird strategy to keep him around for Year 2 yet cut back his grocery budget.

Seems more logical to either cut your losses after Year 1 and get someone better at shopping for groceries, or give him one more chance with no credit limit.

You don't want to give him a built-in excuse for failing in Year 2.

If you don't trust him enough to do the shopping, cut him and his merry band of grifters loose after Year 1.

I wish he just told NFL teams he would be fine only coaching X's and O's and letting a GM pick talent. He'd be in the league right now, he wouldn't have to worry about blowing it as a GM, and he'd probably be succeeding and sprinting to Shula's record.

Dude needed to a pull an Andy Reid and just coach. Would have been doing what he loved with a lighter workload and getting the honeymoon end to his career he deserved.

He was trying to talk the Falcons into that kind of setup, but they saw the way he handled his last few years in New England and simply did not believe he would stay in his lane once he was put into that kind of setup.

Another one exposed

Mack Brown must be enjoying this moment thinking I could have been this ****ty for only pennies on the dollar.

Can someone get this guy a tissue?

Pregame again but don't let facts get in the way of your hate.
My post accurately stated it was pregame.

My post also said maybe he should spend more pregame time preparing for the opponent and not concentrating on his girlfriend.

Is this something common that teams do after wins?
Make fun of the opponent’s coach?

No. No that is not common. I won’t say it is unheard of but it is extremely rare.

Looks like Belichick is being forced to give Max Johnson a chance.

That's got me shifting into rooting for UNC, and the good news for Max is that he's got nowhere to go but up!

The UNC offense is ranked 132 out of 134 FBS teams. And he's not going to get much help from BB's strong suit, the defense, which is ranked 134 out of 134.

Notice how every time you have to say something like such and such doesn't count.

That's the sign that you have a terrible argument. You have to make qualifications just to make a point.

You know what doesn't need qualifying statements?

That actually does need a qualifying statement not all of those are equal or for HC'ing. Some ball boy somewhere his rings too, we don't say he's better than Sean McDermott

When I say reign him in I mean they are probably going to say "if you want to stay here, hire some real coaches and scouts who succeeded in college and keep your girlfriend away from the cameras because when you lose she becomes a bigger story and it's pissing off the people who pay you. This isn't New England where you have a history of success to fall back on".

How about tell your girlfriend to not dress like a hooker on game days?

Great news for the cult. UNC is in a bye. That means Bill won’t get his ass handed to him this weekend!

JZ and JT on the field before the game. The horror.
