I knew 15 years ago he was a bad coach, and I'm just a dude on my couch.
I remember we use to spread them out with Brady and just shred them. Game after game, same result.
Tomlin was asked about it and he said "we do what we do, and we aren't going to change". I knew right then and there what kind of coach he was. Refused to change his defense against us despite the poor results.
He hasn't changed. Wasn't a good coach then, isn't a good coach now.
Tomlin wasted Bens career.

I would love for us to get these two next games. I think we bring it against Buffalo Sunday night October 5th.

?? Who did CB Carlton Davis cover on Sunday??

Buffalo was my preseason Super Bowl pick and they still are based on the first 2 weeks. That will be as tough a game as it gets for a rebuilding team.

With Gonzo.
I am starting to get the feeling that he is injury prone.

The Patriots should consider drafting a number one CB if he can't stay on the field. You can't go into every game wondering if he will play.

And no not all of the injuries are his fault. But the bottom line is he is injured. And is missing games.

IF Maye and Defense plays well: we can keep up. Diggs haven't even played like Diggs yet; hopefully by then.

The Pats will try to run lefty over Campbell with the 3 Horsemen - Rahm, Hendo and Gib.

We have a Ton of room to grow we could be a dangerous Team.

Yeah I know but not many WR's can have their way with him: when he's on.

A year away, maybe two IMO. The stench left behind by Bill and later Elliot's inept drafting is still lingering.
No Team is ever that far away if they have the QB Position figured out. IF Maye plays consistently well: we'll be always in it.

That also partially explains Pop's reduced role. He's great v. man coverage. Not so much v. zone
Man defense doesn't really make sense against the Patriots right now. They don't have that one or two big guys like Kelce or Moss. They have a bunch of capable receivers. Drake Maye completed passes to 10 different receivers in week one and 9 in week two. They are intentionally keeping everyone involved and not creating any patterns for other teams to focus on. Drake Maye is proving that he can go through progressions and when the line gives him time and a pocket to step into, he will find the open man. We're seeing the first few pages of the play book right now. Pop will have a big game or two

IMO Maye isn't there yet. He's still a raw kid who lost a year from dog pile coaching that has a lot of work to do. We don't know how good he's going to be.

As long as he ain't throwing game ending Ints we are good.

With Christian Gonzalez and Keion White, this defense has the potential to be a top ten defense by whatever measure. JayLinn Hawkins had a good game against the Dolphins at safety. I was surprised by the veteran safeties being released but glad they kept Dugger around. Rodgers behind a so-so offensive line will be an interesting test coming up. He doesn't have a big-time running game to complement his ability to hit those mid- and long-range throws, so the pass defense will be tested. It would be nice to see White back with Williams and Barmore up front.

The Two guys that's hampering our Defense right now is Spillane and Elliss.
So far spillane has been a disappointment. Usually i know the names of players on other teams that are standouts, but the first time i heard his name was when he signed here. He was suppose to be a tackling machine.
