We'll see the snap counts, but I suspect that we're fine with Douglas being on the field less and Boutte and WIlliams more.Time to "rest" Pop and bring in edelman 2.0

Ah, never mind, I get it now. They really think he's Edelman.Time to "rest" Pop and bring in edelman 2.0
fair enough.I think people are being a little rough on Pop Douglas. At least on today's performance, Diggs is the slot guy.
I'd rather have Diggs as our primary slot receiver.AJ Brown has 35 yds in 2 games
Tee Higgins has 33 yds in 2 games
I know u like Chism, and I do too, but let' not completely write Pop off after 2 games.
I'm gonna defend Charles Davis a little. Andrew Catalan is a complete empty suit, so he has to carry him, and Jason McCourty is pretty much a noob doing color, so he has to carry him too. It's clear to me his gig is to groom Jason for the next year or two, and then retire. He's been at this a long time now. He's fine, he doesn't have many stupid takes.Good:
• Winning in Miami, period
• Stevenson rebound
• Maye!
Bad:
• Penalties
• Spillane missed tackles and bad reads, again.
• Charles Davis talking over everything and talking all the time
Did we dodge a bullet? How often are we going to miss 2 PATs to set that scenario up? It all evened out in the end.LET'S CELEBRATE, BUT
1) We played one of the worst Defenses in the NFL, and one of the worst teams. How many millions would Tua give to play us every week?
2) If the player didn't step out of bounds, we might have lost the game.
=========
We dodged a bullet, and we will continue to get better each week, especially the OL as they continue to play together as a unit.
You’re right my earlier posts didn’t cite evidence—but the games this year have. Well-coached teams don’t average 10+ penalties, don’t implode on special teams every week, and don’t have players constantly demanding trades or getting released. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player on IR traded for a pick swap until now. They also don’t give up swing-pass touchdowns in a prevent defense with two minutes left—only saved because the runner stepped out by a third of a shoe.Your op on it didn’t come across as seeking debate it came across as seeking to put Vrabel down.
If you’re really seeking debate let’s start with your fallacious image of how a head coach should carry himself and what a real head coach should be. Is the problem that Vrabel isn’t sporting a stylish hoody with chopped sleeves and a disheveled look overall? Or do you favor the Tom Landry suit and tie with a fedora? And what does any of that have to do with being a good head coach?
What matters for a head coach is his ability to run the program and get his assistants, staff, and players all on the same page and pulling in the same direction. Listening to players comment about Vrabel it seems they are sold that he’s the head coach they want to be leading them. You’ve shown no evidence he’s not a good head coach, and so far the performance of his team is looking like he is a pretty good one.
So, if you want to debate come with some evidence, not just unfounded potshots.
For sure. I think Jason mccourty commented on player only meetings and how they were never for positive reasons. He'll get fired soon cause they about to get whooped on by buffalo. We may hear something is brewing behind the scenes like McDaniels in LV where players had turned on him.
Oh ****, now I feel like a jerk cause I asked if he was high during that halftime interview yesterday. He didn't sound great; i know he has a nerdy tenor already but he sounded defeated and just out of it yesterday.
Damn, Charles Davis is 60! Looking good!I'm gonna defend Charles Davis a little. Andrew Catalan is a complete empty suit, so he has to carry him, and Jason McCourty is pretty much a noob doing color, so he has to carry him too. It's clear to me his gig is to groom Jason for the next year or two, and then retire. He's been at this a long time now. He's fine, he doesn't have many stupid takes.
Im very superstitious.
So I guess you won’t be watching any games this year
Your dog will be licking his chops all season
And your going to have to learn how to hit a ball in the snow
Enjoy
I just think Chism would add some spark to the receiving corps. He’s ALWAYS open. He just knows how to set up DBs to find the open space. He may not be straight line fast like Pop may be, but his quickness is way better. And in the McDaniels’ offense, quick slot receivers always dominated. Pop, outside of one good TD catch, has been invisible. He’s got 3 catches for 6 yards. Need much more that that from the slot. Our RBs have been our slot receivers so far.
Said by the man who didn't even watch. Some fan you are. Maybe some day you'll figure out how to work that TV.My condolences to signbabybill, Patsfan2, and Sam, that must have been really tough loss for you guys. But hang in there, they still have 15 more opponents you can cheer on.
