We moved on from him way too quickly.

The worst of it was they really didn't give him a fair chance. IIRC in preseason games he only attempted XPs.

I just think Chism would add some spark to the receiving corps. He’s ALWAYS open. He just knows how to set up DBs to find the open space. He may not be straight line fast like Pop may be, but his quickness is way better. And in the McDaniels’ offense, quick slot receivers always dominated. Pop, outside of one good TD catch, has been invisible. He’s got 3 catches for 6 yards. Need much more that that from the slot. Our RBs have been our slot receivers so far.

ALWAYS open? He hasn’t played an NFL game yet!

Rham’s catch and open field run were excellent. Truly outstanding to see that from a power back. Really adds a dimension to his game. Love to see it.

Now if only we could see the power aspect of his game

Every team has to learn to win and hopefully this is a good stepping stone for this team and for Drake Maye. Last year I think we would hs e folded the tent after the Phin’s came back.

Yeah, it goes back the the last five years, no it goes back to the 07 superbowl when the giants won in the last couple of minutes.

That's fair. I guess I didn't really lack faith as long as TFB was around. And I kept the faith with BB the same way until 2022...2023-2024 though? Damn...I struck up a nice friendship with Rachel down at the liquor store. No joke. She knocked off $150 off a bottle of Stagg for me a couple months ago. I think I was putting her through college.

He was always open...in preseason.

Again, open receivers aren't an issue on this team, 2 games in a row. If Chism were a linebacker, I'd understand this reasoning, but they barely used a pure slot receiver today.

What you don’t understand is, he seems to do it no matter who he is facing. His competition wasn’t as good in college as his Shrine game competition, didn’t matter. Same with the Senior Bowl, he was facing better competition than his college competition, didn’t matter, Senior Bowl practices, he was faking guys out of their jocks. Then training camp, same thing, competition is better, still getting open. Joint practices, he was beating other teams DBs. Doesn’t seem to matter the competition.

I think he would get a ton of chances if they just give him the chance. I know they want veteran guys in there, but Drake needs to be finding chemistry with Williams and Chism too, they are the future.

They kept Chism for a reason, but there's really no reason to call him up. I get this is a binky for you, but unless there's a role for him, he'd just be taking up a gameday roster spot. You're not going to bring him up to get 10 snaps.

I agree with you, but he's not on the practice squad, he's on the roster they just haven't dressed him.
